Vanitri chuckles, "Just be careful and try to stay out of trouble. If you don't, I'll send you back if I have to take you myself, ok?"

OOC: Ready.

"Hogarth, are you ready?" asks Rinaldo

The cleric nods. [SBLOCK=Terran]"Will we help the villager with the orcs too?"[/SBLOCK] he ask in Terran.

[SBLOCK=Terran]"Probably. I am not sure how we will help the, but I don't like the idea of leaving these men behind with such a problem when I could have done something. If it is out of our power, we will go back to Orussus and try to see if some troop couldn't be sent. It would be the least we could do."[/SBLOCK] answers Rinaldo

[SBLOCK=Terran]"Why are you trying to help these villagers. Do you know any of them?"[/SBLOCK] continue Hogarth, with some interrogation in his look.

[SBLOCK=Terran]"Why should I? This world is full of danger. Danger for my children, for others children. I just want to make is more sure, just make a difference, and if I can build a trade house at the same time. It is always easier to gain business opportunity when you have some reknown."[/SBLOCK] replies Rinaldo.

Hogarth smiles at the trader and grabs his pack. "I am ready."

"Yup, lets go." Echoes Tenebrynn.

*The group continues onward in the direction given to the tower, resting overnight twice along the path due to slow walking with Laynie and Hogarth moving at 'dwarf-speed'. Early in the morning, the path becomes engulfed with eerie mist as they continue onward, and visibility starts to become iffy, with objects partially obscured more than 30 feet away and completely obscured in mist beyond 60 feet.*

(OOC: Doing anything special or just proceeding?)

Vanitri will make sure he's checks his directions every once and a while, and with the slower speed, it's not too hard to pause every once and a while and check (walk a bit forward, stop and check, then walk with the others), "Nice weather we have here," he says with a chuckle.

"Is it a normal fog, or it is some kind a protection on the tower?" asks Rinaldo, not able to answers his own question. Rinaldo is just behind Vanitri, and he has asked Hogart to stay at the back, just in acse something would come from behind, he could protect the casters.

"If it were magical fog, it would be detectable by divination magic, so we could test if it is easily. So far it appears to limit visibility, just as normal fog does. Magical fog can create far worse effects, and if the vanishing of the tower is an intentional effect, its creator should be able to utilize the more powerful mists."

*The group continues forward (if a little fog was enough to stop them, they wouldn't get very far in adventuring anyway), heading towards the tower. Suddenly, there is a loud eerie whining screech which does not give enough warning as eight strange creatures leap out of the mists simultaneously to the screeching whine. They are coloured a strange blue-violet, though the colours seem to dance and shift about them as they move, and their three small red eyes are located in a radially-symmetric pattern around a gaping triple maw. Exactly how they knew the group was there through the fog is unclear, They all charge at the group from the front and the sides, two each attacking Ashnar, Tenebrynn, Vanitri, and Rinaldo, failing to attack Hogarth all the way in the back and out of the reach of their charge, and failing to strike at Laynie for some reason as if she wasn't there, despite the fact that she is located well within reach of their attacks. They bite with their triple maws, having an extraordinary stream of terrible luck for the most part, though Rinaldo and Tenebrynn both suffer badly from the razor-sharp teeth. They seem annoyed that they didn't kill any of their targets, and they whine a bit.*

*In the blink of an eye, they all simply vanish.*

(OOC: Sheesh! Two 1s, a 2, a 3, a 4, and a 6 out of eight rolls. Invisible Castle is being nasty to the bad guys today

Rinaldo takes 18 Damage.
Tenebrynn takes 22 Damage (avoiding the crit confirmation)

Enemies vanish.

Everyone else's turn.)

Ashnar quickly scans his memory to determine if he knows the creatures, then acts (depending on the results, but most likely starting out with a mage armor.)
