The Crux of the Matter

Rinaldo is about to open the door and then look behind at Tenebrynn. Time is counted but if he get killed by a trap, it wouldn't be better, so he double check the door again for traps. Once that done (if no traps was found) "Get ready, just in case another of these creature is waiting behind."

Hogarth nods, his shield in hand but his other hand free, ready to cast another healing spell to attack it.

Tenebrynn remains in meditation as Vanitri places his necklace on him. His brow smooths a little and his form solidifies a bit more as he stays concentrating.

*Checking briefly for traps and finding none, Rinaldo slowly opens the double-doors over the course of six seconds, revealing a large room beyond, far larger than any of the other rooms they have seen before, or even all of those rooms combined.*

(OOC: It doesn't look exactly like this, but this looks cool and similar--

)

*It is a grand ornate library filled with shelves upon shelves of books, and reading tables with books, and stacks of books, and overall a very large number of books.*

"Woah--cool!" Laynie exclaims when she sees all the books.

*The room does also have something weird in it though, floating motes of light of various colours that are drifting about sedately. They don't look dangerous or menacing and they don't start attacking, but they are still a bit weird.*

[SBLOCK=Ashnar's Knowledge]He can't tell what they are at all. As best he can tell, they are not malign, directly dangerous, or intelligent, but they are responding to the presence of the party in their drifting, as if drifting or orbitting around them by gravity or electric attraction, like a strange orrery of many-coloured lights.[/SBLOCK]

Ashnar shakes his head, and continues "I don't like these lights. I don't know what they are, but they remind me of the light we saw under the volcano. These lights seem to react to us in some way, similar to how the volcano light receeded from us."

(OOC: He only needs to spend a standard action to attempt to keep his composure (technically, he only needs to do so once a minute if he always succeeds), so I'd assume they're letting him use his leftover move action to follow? It's up to Tenebrynn I guess. Laynie's been following while translating a storybook)
