The Cursed Ones

"I dont see what you mean by them being powerful, it looks to me like i made quick work of them! Those pip-squeeks wont stand a chance, especially now that they did what they did to my new friend. Especially someone with such a fine ale. Yep, they dont stand a chance!"

Maur continues to work off his rage, spireing with a nearby tree.

Seres turns to Maur. You might have hurt it, but that wasn't why it disappeared. It didn't vanish because it was destroyed, it vanished because it teleported out, it's mission completed by destroying Fez.

We've all agreed to escort Fez and his cargo to Homeglen, and to fight off any attacker along the way.

Yes, we did agree to escort Fez and his cargo, and if I am not mistaken, we failed miserably. We should at least get his cargo to Homeglen and maybe there will be some reward for you Seres. Besides, I am somewhat curios to find out more about this curse Fez spoke of. I am also curios to find out why anybody wanted Fez dead.

Justiel lands facing away from the others. Harken to the words of a member of the chorus. You may all do as you see fit. I must keep my promise and see if I can have Fez brought back from the underrealms. He turns and you see his eyes glow with the fires of vengance and streams of liquid light that may be tears trickle down his angelic face.

Hm, so am I. The problem is that we can't even be certain that Fez was entirely blameless in the matter that caused his death. Maybe he committed some crime against the Red Wizards, and they were justified in killing him. That is a possibility we cannot ignore. Even a good man can be a villain, and the Red Wizards are not always evil. Yes... it would be interesting to learn more, and I suppose Homeglen is the place to go for that.

"Seres, can you prove that it is not dead? Can you prove that it did not have a trigger set that when it dies, it teleports to a special place with all other dead teleporting thingies.... And even if all he did was teleport, I will make ALL the others hurt so much they do the same!"

I cannot prove that, Indeed I can not be completely certain you didn't kill it, though usually people killed by an axe fall down in a rather messy way, involving all kinds of unpleasant bodily fluids. I can only speculate. Perhaps the creature was summoned, perhaps it was astrally projecting, perhaps you did indeed kill it. Whatever's the case I'm sure your prowess duly intimidated the nation of Thay.

"Well, all I can say is, I saw my SWORD, not axe, go through the beasts body, if he didnt die, he will die from the wounds soon enough. And I hope they are intimidated, that will keep me up on the list of people not to mess with, for I am MAUR DEEPERDOWN!"

OOC: Intimidation check +7 on Seres.

Enough! Justiel steps between Maur and Seres Are you mentaly challanged little dwarf? The creature was not in phase with us and was able to be transported away. Whether he is dead or not has no bearing on the situation at hand. Justiel lets Maur have it both barrels From the moment you were asked to join the mission you have drunk to excess and been rather unappealing to be around. And now you think to bully Seres for pointing out the obvious to all but you? JUstiel shakes his head. It would seem that the enemy has won this day just by breaking this covenant apart.
