Beamer's second Ray of Enfeeblement strikes true, and the thief slacks down a bit as he suddenly weakens. Azaroth meanwhile steps a bit back and his magic missile pummels the spokesman 1 into the stomach, who groans due to the pain. Fourdrinker, confident that no one follows him, runs down the street and soon vanishes from sight, while the other thieves again close in. Azaroth again feels the bite of a shortsword from 2 (taking 3 damage), as well as Gur (taking 2 damage from 3), and Beamer (taking 4 damage from 4).
Gur, seeing Azaroth's bad shape, uses the "healing stick," which amazingly closes all wounds on the spellcaster. Banion is again unliky as he fails to connect with his target (attack roll 11).
The Ashen Talon observer, seeing the battle, leaves the window.

Beamer yelps, "Ah, help!" after nearly being struck down. He takes another step back, keeping along the wall and lets loose his crossbow bolt at the thief who stabbed him (Thief 4). He immediately cranks it back again and reloads for another shot. He also glances backward trying to gage the distance to the nearest cross street or alley behind him.

OOC: crossbow shot (1d20+6=24)
crossbow damage (1d6+1=2) Good grief! I think I need to get a new d6. :)

Azaroth seeing his friend in help ignores the guy who attacked him and Blast Beamer's attacker with a Magic Missle for a total of 4 damage

Beamer's crossbow bolt strikes thief 4's shoulder (dealing 2 damage) as Azaroth's magic missile strikes the same thief's back with an ugly crunch, and the man cries out in pain, clutching his chest. He seems to have some trouble breathing without pain.
The thieves follow and strike, but are blocked by the armor of their intended victims, even against the surrounded Gur. Thief 4 however stood to take a breath.
Gur again fails to even connect, but Banion has the relief to hit thief 4 on the head and knocking him out (attack roll 15, 3 damage).
Beamer: The next sideroad is about 60 feet away.
