The Dance of Souls

(Not a typo, but a missing word. We will need a strike team)
Azaroth, distracted by the pain, throws his acid splash far from its intended target. The thief, realizing he is alone, withdraws, carefully trying to stay out of reach. Banion's parting gift misses as well (attack roll 11), and Beamer watches as the Ashen Talon agent rushes down the street. He cannot see any details of the woman, and if she had not spoken, he would not have known she was female. She is near a crossroads, and will reach it soon (next round).

Lets try to keep him alive. Who knows he may be able to help us find out where the Ashen Talon are if not we can take care of him later.

Azaroth will attempt to get one more Magic Missle in before Thief 2 gets out of range

Damage: 3

Banion will target thief 2. (Should have been more specific, I only intended to Ignore Fourdrinker and the Ashen Talon observer.)

(Those were the ones you ignored. The attack that missed last round was against thief 2.)
Azaroth's magic missile cracks into the fleeing thief, but does not drop him, and he begins to run. Banion's slingstone misses again (attack roll 5, includes range penalty). Beamer's crossbow bolt, however, strikes true (despite range penalty), and the thief drops like the others.

The Ashen Talon Observer runs around the corner. Shortly thereafter, a voice can be heard calling out "Guards! To me!"
Azaroth and Beamer recognize the voice - it is Officer Samuel.

Banion disapears into the darkness, quietly leaving the area.

ooc: Thanks for the clarification! Hadn't understood, thought "Banion watches as the Ashen Talon agent rushes down the street" meant I watched instead of acting. :)

Azaroth doesn't know if he'll be able to outrun the guards he stands and awaits their arrival. He knows that if he runs and is caught he could be placed into custody. He takes a seat on the ground.

"Azaroth, we've got to leave." He begins moving into the shadows, still talking softly to Azaroth. "I think that Samuel is in league with the Talon. We are not going to win a debate. Tomorrow we can go to Garum. Samuel is supposed to be on leave." Beamer follows Banion into the darkness. He draws his scroll of silent image. As they are moving, he will explain his plan. "If we are spotted, I won't be able to out run them. I'll say 'antidote' and then everyone should snug up against a wall and stay quiet. This scroll lets me make an image of a wall an extra foot out so that they won't be able to see us and hopefully will move on past. It will work better in an alley, but its risky and I'd rather not try it if we don't have to."

Why do you two have to have so similar names?
It's Patlin's fault. :)

Alright we'll give that a shot. But i have to tell you I feel a little uneasy about it. But I trust you.

Azaroth will await further instructions from Slag. Following them when the time comes.
