The Dance of Souls

Banion makes a mental note of the name 'Jerianne.' He listens intently, hoping Tennar will expand on "unless" but he refrains from prompting or making any further comment.

"Well, this is a stretch, but... what if the group uses the reputation of the keep to... er, keep people away? There is one that immediately comes to mind, the supposedly haunted Keep of Bloodstained Dreams. I don't know why exactly it has this 'big' name, but it certainly sounds unpleasant..."

"Certainly. It is a keep on the edges of the Stonespikes..." Tennar explains the presumed location of the keep. You could either move more or less straight eastwards, moving through some small villages, or you could use the road Orussus/Fallon and further, then southwards.

"I guess Master Gamekiller could benefit from mounts, it's some distance..." Tennar quickly pens a letter, adds a personal seal to it, and hands it to you. "This is a permit for the owner of the stables in Lornsten, a village a few miles to the east. He'll loan Master Azaroth a few horses if he presents it to him. Just remind him to make sure to return the horses."

"I will carry your mesage without fail, Sir. I am sure I may convey the thanks of all involved."

Once Banion gets out of sight of the warehouse, he will disapear into the shadows and beat a carefull retreat to the rendezvous point.

Beamer and group: Slowly approaching, you can see that there are definitely stairs onto the city wall ahead of you... but also two guards.

Banion: How do you plan on getting out?

Banion will head toward the wall stealthfully. When he gets there, he will look for a way up, either onto the wall itself or onto some nearby building. Relevant skills: Climb +3, Jump +7, Tumble +8. Jump and tumble both allow a decent chance to reduce falling damage, so once I get up on the inside I should be able to get down on the other fairly easilly.

Beamer moves back a bit so that they plan a bit. "Anyone have any ideas? I could use a ghost sound of breaking glass and muffled yelling to try to draw the guards away and then we can get up the stairs quickly before they come back."

OOC: Does it look like there is somewhere to hide on the top of the wall or will be have to start climbing right at the top of the stairs to get out of site quickly?

Thats a good suggestion Beamer. Perhaps it will fool them. Any conflict we can resolve without having to rely on full frontal conflict is good.

Beamer will creep close enough to cast a ghost sound away from the group. Everyone hears the sound of shattering glass followed by a "Ha.mmmmph" sound of a person starting to yell and being gagged. When the guards go to investigate, Beamer will go for the stairs trying to stay quiet and get up the stairs. He focuses on his goald, not looking back a single time to see if his companions are following. Once on top of the wall, he will try to duck into a hiding spot. If none exists, he will immediately start climbing down.

OOC: Spells remaining: 3/0
