OOC: I apologise for the delay folks, but after a good week and a half of getting far less sleep than is healthy, I've been kinda getting far more sleep than is healthy. rbhingham, between the music and conversations downstairs, it's doubtful you'd notice anything short of gunfire outside. Trust me, you'll be the first one to notice when the guy come in. Don't worry about rolls, by the way, I'm taking care of those. I don't mean to seem like I'm forcing you into the upcoming situation, but this is the easiest (and probably best) way to get you guys on the same team for now. Of course, what team that ends up being does depend on you guys.
Golden Flower Bar
Mark Huan listens intently to Jadefinger and sits back in his chair with an expression of grave concern. "Mr. Long, we've worked together for many years now. So long, in fact, that I'd rather consider you a friend than simply an associate. I want you to know that I would never interfere with your private life, or the life of your son. I have no idea who would have done this, but my resources are at your disposal to find out."
The door to the room flies open, and the young man with red hair staggers in towards Mark Huan, who immediately rises and rushes over to his side. Both Jadefinger and Mao (having met him and by reputation, respectively) recognise the young man as Tony Shen, Mark's right-hand man.
"It was the Black Dragons, wasn't it?" Mark shouts, followed by a "You! Get a doctor here now!" directed at one of his bodyguards. "Jadefinger, Mr. Mao, I'll help both of you, just help me strike back at the Black Dragons! This boy is like a son to me, and I won't let the-"
Tony interrupts with a quick coughing fit, then quietly mutters "I'm sorry, 'Dad', but..."
With a loud crack, a red burst erupts from Mark Huan's chest, or more precisely from his heart. Huan slumps to the ground with an expression of shock, leaving Tony Shen standing over him with a slight smile. "I quit."
May smiles and thanks Jack Frost for the drink, and after a sip says "Well to be honest, I-"
A gunshot upstairs interrupts her, however, and she immediately gets on her feet. "Oh no, something's wrong!"
The formerly peaceful atmosphere of the Golden Flower Bar quickly changes into a roaring battle as patrons begin screaming and running for the door as Tony Shen's men, the bouncers, and the bodyguards all reach for their weapons at once.
