But Dragonborn aren't.
This BTW creates a weird dynamic were Dragonborn are humanoids, but Kobolds are dragons, Gobiniods are Fey, but Elves aren't (with the exception of SOME monsterous Eladrin), and Gnolls are fiends, but Tieflings aren't (which also causes a massive lore issues in settings like Nentir Vale, Forgotten Realms, Eberron).
Also this means that the NPC stats are for use with humanoids, but Gobliniods, Gnolls, and Kobolds aren't humanoids.
Also Fiends that die off plane get reborn on their native plane, eventually so if Gnolls die, now that they are fiends do they just reappear as Gnolls in the Abyss?
It's frustrating that they make so many changes without thinking about the broader implications for settings causing serious lore issues in the future. That is one of the problems with the Rule of Cool coming first.
One wonders what other creature type changes have been made.
So far Kobolds-Dragons, Gobliniods-Fey, Empyreans-Celestial or Fiends, Gnolls-Fiends, Sphinxes-Celestials, anymore revealed?
Oh and I think we know Owlbears will he changed to beasts because of DADHAT, don't even need a preview to know that.
