I think that 2 mules will be enough, that's 840lbs of stuff we can carry. 30 days rations and half a two man tent is 70lbs. Feed is the problem weighing in at 10lbs a day, but they should be able to find plenty of grazing?

Yes they can live for a while on just grass... reading up about their eating habits, good pasture and water will sustain them fairly well, especially if supplemented with grain in their diet. Horses are much more finicky eaters...

Cool, I wasn't planning on taking a cart but it looks like we are anyway. Since Magen already has a donkey, I'll buy one, which gives us 3200lbs of space.

Magen and retainers with 1 months food each, two tents and 10 days feed require 385lbs in total. If Greenkarl is happy with the donkeys being ok with 1/3 feed and 2/3 grazing, otherwise I'll buy more feed. Either way that leaves plenty of space in the cart.

EDIT: I've also added a block and tackle, 2 barrels and some more rope.

Sounds good.

Btw, TallIan, take one of the platinum rings Shara picked up so she can use Warding Bond if Magen's in a tight spot. +1 to his AC, +1 to all saves, resistance to all damage, but she takes whatever damage he does. I don't expect we'll need it often, but a nice "break glass in case of emergency" spell to have when things get rough for the tank.
