The Ebon Mirror: Dark Marks (Dunamin judging)

Callen surprises Tyrion, and indeed himself, by noteing a pattern to the trees shifting and the group are able to use the movement of the forest to speed their journey occasionally waiting for a clearer path to shift into place out of sight before moving. After an hour the forest pattern reacts and such maneauvering is no longer possible.

OOC: 3 Successes and 0 failures.

Alas these are not the woods of Riar'lon's childhood and spying e believes to be a familiar shift in the trees the Eladrin leads the group off track for a while. They end up having to clamber up a briar covered slope to get back onto their path tired and exhausted.

OOC: 3 Successes and 1 Failure. Everyone looses a healing surge.

Murphy is quite evidently not at home in the woods, but he attempts to help keep the group going and tries to point out a way he's sure is a shortcut through the forest. Unfortunately, the pirate's abilities, or lack thereof, begin to show themselves when his suggestion leads them right through a patch of poison ivy.

As the group mointo the heart of the woods they begin to hear howls behind them, and it soon becomes obvious that they are being stalked by wolves dogging their steps and increasing their urgency. Occasionally in the distance they catch a glimpse of a grey shadow darting between the trees.

OOC: 4 Successes and 2 Failures. Everyone looses another healing surge.

Mri'Thas walks by, feeling the whispers of the leaves, not letting the wolves distract him. The forest reveals to the githyanki one path with no undergrow, which is quite more easy to walk through.
Nature: 17

Ts'iri was still fascinated by the forest. Even it's shifts and bends hold great interest to her. She barely notices the howls and she keeps moving. Even though she's been walking for a while she isn't the least bit tired. Maybe she'll feel tired once she's bored.

The sightings of sleek grey shapes become more frequent and the group realize that the wolves surround them, be at least a half dozen of the creatures. A great howl rends the quiet of the forest and the wolves charge enmasse.

As the creatures approach one massive shape detatches itself from the trees and prowls along ebhind its brethren watching the group with a pair of eerily intelligent eyes.

OOC: 6 Successes and 2 Failures. Skill challenge will resume after the encounter.

Kama'zer moves forward while drawing her scimitar. Reaching the nearest wolf, she slices into it expertly. Calling back to Riar'lon she says, "Riar'lon, strike at this injured one. It is not moving quite so quickly anymore."
