I like Merits & Flaws, so long as the GM keeps a tight reign on them, and they're used by grown-ups for RPing stuff.
In Mage, my guy had Short Fuse (which was accurate to my guy's personality) and Manifest Avatar (which played into his back-story, but would otherwise have been against the rules).
In Vampire, my guy had Natural Linguist, Blush of Health, Desceptive Aura and Inoffensive to Animals -- he was a high-Humanity vamp "Egyptologist" (it was 1918, so that was a valid profession).
They also do a lot of other art for Exalted, including all of the art for the CCG. Damn White Wolf! I don't even have all the books and now they're making a CCG? They know I can't resist!
Here's a comment in response to a possible 2nd edition:

One will happen, but there's quite a bit of road between here and
there. =)
I will note that Exalted is rather quite old at this point,
especially for me (as I live rather far in the future of the game
y'all are playing now, if you know what I mean). I know Gamer-time
is a weird universe where everything you don't own just came out
yeserday, but it's been quite some time -- coming up on three years.
Looking at my shelf, I see 6 hardbacks, 12 red-spines, 5 gold-spines
and 1 white-spined Aspect book. That ain't nothin' to sneeze at. P
Please don't act like I'm rooking you. The stereotype around
Changeling / Wraith was a 2nd edition in 2 years, and we've beaten
that by a year, at least. I surely love Exalted and all, but I rant
he game twice a week for two years, and man, there's some room for
improvement. Hopefully Exaltd Power Combat will keep the pygmies
from dancing around my stewpot for a minute here while I take care
of other matters I think you all will enjoy. =)
True, dat. Much of it is really, really good but the PG art is among their best stuff.
Although I must say the art in chapter 3 (gods & monsters) of Blood & Salt didn't impress me much, mostly. Not that it was bad, mind, just not as amazing as many of their other pieces.

After all these years, I finally picked up Exalted at a local store that was going outta business. HAd to get my gaming fill at buy on get one free prices
Anyway, a quick question: Any good online resources for Exalted?
What Welverin said I'd like to point out that Edge of Creation hosts the Exalted Forum FAQ which is quite useful. Also, the Charm Cards are invaluable once you actually sit down and play.
If your PC party is in the West/Southwest even some of the time, definitely. It's very, very good.
If your group spends all of its time hiking through the ice wastes of the North or the jungles of the East, the book will be of limited utility, however. (Note - the following assumes you are at least passingly familiar with which topics the book covers. If not, just say so and I'll try to explain. ) Although transplanting An-Teng to somewhere else could work - and involving PCs in plots relating to the Lintha family can be done anywhere. (E.g., going to the West to retrieve something - or someone - the Lintha have stolen, helping an ex-Lintha on the run to evade his former compatriots, finding out that a local merchant is selling slaves to/buying stuff from the Lintha, and so on.)
The book, the An-Teng chapter in particular, has a lot of small sidebars with suggested plot hooks for all kinds of characters (even Abyssals and heroic mortals). These are very, very good and many of them could be used in other locations without too many changes. Also, there's incredibly much potential for still more interesting plots in the main text of the entire book.
PS - The book doesn't have many new 'crunchy bits' (e.g., artifacts, hearthstones, charms, etc.) if that's important to you, though it has some stuff reprinted from Savage Seas (because SS is out of print) and some other sources.
What it does have, though, is quite a few write-ups for Lintha family members (god-blooded warriors, good-blooded priests, dragon-blooded priests, several unique individuals) as well as some spirits, a lot of creatures of the southwest, and some weird giant-sized fair folk. The important gods of An-Teng are very interesting as well. Powerful, too (especially the Golden Lord, an important lieutenant of the Unconquered Sun). Oh, and there's also a powerful Lunar who's allied to the Lintha family.
BTW, the Lintha god-blooded's charms are basically Essence 1-2 Solar charms with some added limitations in some cases. If that bothers you, the Player's Guide should offer good alternative options. (Personally, I don't really mind; the Lintha god-blooded have a different genetic background than other god-blooded anyway. They're more of a people than relatively random and unique occurrances like most other god-blooded probably are. I.e., their non-human progenitor was
a Primordial, though their bloodline has been weakened over the millennia since the Solars defeated the Primordials. The Primordial in question, Kimberry, still lives on as a Yozi and is worshipped by the Lintha, though.
