El Eternauta is one of the great classics, IMO. I wonder how they will make the transposition. The author was executed, along with all of his daughters by the military regime in Argentina.

It is indeed one of the classics. I remember reading it when I was a kid. I hope they don't screw this up.
I guess this will be a transposition of the original comic from the '50s, which is a more or less a straightforward science fiction story, rather than the more political remake of the late '60s or the sequel of the late '70s.
My understanding is that it is set in modern day Argentina, so most of the references to the South America situation of the '60-'70s and more in general to the Cold War will anyway not be relevant to the current political climate.
