OOG: Hmmm... I thought I had read something about getting a +1 AC bonus (or a -1 to hit for the attacker) for being on higher ground. But I can't seem to find it in the SRD. Must be my edition rules lore mixing in again. Sorry about that.

Ishmael's AC should be one lower to 24.

OOG2: What kind of skill is it to taunt so that his attentions are focused toward me?

"Foul Cretin! Fall before the power of Righteousness!"

Ishmael launches himself at the Redcap, his kukri flashing with the light of Good. He raises his shield so that he can ward off any deadly blows from the Evil Fey.

Modifiers: +1 to hit from mounted, +2 to hit and damage from Smite Evil, -4 to hit from fighting defensively (+2 Dodge to AC, for a total of 26)

Attack Roll: 1d20+5=10

Intimidate is closest. I know I've seen a feat to that effect, probably in one of the complete books. You could also simply role play it, maybe the Redcap will respond to insults, you aren't sure.

Round 3
Ishmael misses the too-nimble Redcap, and the fey takes advantage of the miss to land a blow on the well armored halfling. Ishmael is hit for 15 damage.

Persephone again blasts the evil fey for 8 damage. (OOG: There may be other things Persephone could do, but magic missile is effective. If it was me, I wouldn't be shy about dumping all my first and second level spell slots into that miraculously accurate purple fire. There's a reason Dragon magazine subtitled it's "Vs. Sorcerors" article "Fighting the Magic Missile Machine.") :)

Rodimus contiues bleeding, dropping to -6.

(Gorefoot is up next!)

End Round 3 / Begin Round 4
Alarmingly Gorefoot, Nars and Ishmael all miss. It seems that away from the poor footing of the rubble, the Redcap is much more able to use its natural quickness to avoid your blows.

Fortunately, the Redcap fares no better , also missing.

Rodimus continues to bleed.

Gorefoot is up!

"Oh, careful for that pointy thing!" Percy shouts pointless. She moves behind the tree, then peers out, sending two more purple flares into their foe.

OOC: Dmg: another 8. You may have noticed Percy didn't bother casting mage armor on herself this time. Considering the redcap's hit bonus, it's pretty useless. But she also wanted to save every last spell slot for attack. Hang in there guys! This is for round 3, which would make it her 2nd spell.
