As Nars moves to search the Redcap's body, he is surprised to find that the body is melting! Soon, all of the Redcap except for a single tooth has drained away into the soil of the Faerie Woods. The tooth seems somehow special, and Nars has a keen idea that the Fey Lord may be willing to provide some sort of bounty for it.

ooc: The Redcap Tooth, being a special object described in MMIII and not in the core rulebooks, cannot leave this adventure.

Nars picks up the tooth and examines it carefully. "Looks like, er, this is all we get."

Percy sighs. "Yes, Nars. That is a very good point. The Fey Lord will be glad we've killed the redcap; I've little doubt. But he can't be too keen on the death of Feys in general. If we walk into the woods with that sword, we might not walk out with it. Personally, after encountering this little bastard," Percy gives his melting body one last kick. "I would very much like to keep that blade. I think we won't really need to take it back into the Faerie woods. We must negotiate peacably with their lord. Not even that sword would enable us to fight our way out otherwise."

"Nars, I think you should take that sword back to Trimble's place and stay there until we get back. We'll take the tooth and the necklace. What do you guys think?"

Nars hands the tooth to Percy. He is torn for a moment between loyalty to his friends, and the obviousness of what Percy says. He's also none to eager to go any further into the Wood, what with the magic trees and all. "That's probobably, ah, for the best. I'll be fine one my own. It's you all, er, going further in there you need to worry about."

"Ishmael, could you, er, take a look at this wound?"

"Of course, Nars" Ishmael moves over to the dwarf and readies his wand. Seeing the severity of the injury, he uses up his lay on hands (4 hp) and uses charges from the wand as necessary.

If anyone else asks healing from Ishmael, he also uses the power of the wand.

OOG: Just roll per charge (1d8+1) and tell me how many charges were used.

Ishameal applies the wand to Nars, once, twice, thrice. (3 charges used)

"Thankyou, friend," Nars says with a handshake after Ishameal heals him.

After Nars is all healed up, Gorefoot steps up to shake his hand. "Be careful Nars. Dying isn't fun."

OoC: I'll steal a couple of charges for Rodimus too, so he won't have to lay around for an hour: 5 points and 7 points, for 2 charges.

IC: After much cursing of his own ineffectiveness, Rodimus returns to his normal gruff behavior.
"Go with Nars," he says, thumbing his own chest.
