OK...I think I need new pants.

That. Was. AWESOME!

Firestorm AND Prof. Zoom (Reverse Flash). Nice fight choreography. Barry's emotional dam breaks.

And it really looks like the (not-so) good Doctor is Flash's arch nemesis.

Yup, seems pretty obvious to me that Wells beat himself up. Based on the commercials I thought that dead boyfriend was going to turn out to be RF instead of Wells, which had me confused, but the actual show played out the way I thought it would apart from Firestorm appearing.

I thoroughly enjoyed that and it was good to finally see that Barry actually doesn't have a constant flow of happy juice from a CADD pump.

I agree playing up the more emotional brooding theme started last week was awesome and gave more depth to all the characters (including Iris) but in particular Barry, his two Dads and of course Caitlins moment.

I was actually slightly disappointed with Firestorms return, it wasn't as spectacular as I would have liked (although him flying off at the end was a blast :D), probably some unwise editing choices and the fact that the whole storyline was tagged on to the core plot, but his helping at the end was a nice touch and hopefully he'll return in 2015 for his own episode.

The Reverse Flash fights were cool light shows and helped to carry things forward, while raising a whole new series of questions - why did he leave Eddie? and whats the connection to Wells? Doing the reveals of the shows big mcguffins (Wells and the Killer of Barrys Mom) was great although I am surprised how quickly they are progressing things. I wonder on what the writers have planned for the longer future - or is The Flash intended to have a finite lifespan?

I'm not sure about Wells being the Reverse Flash - that seems far too obvious, especially considering all the twists the show throws us. I'm still thinking Wells is future Barry. I did see a plausible theory that Barry and the original RF were the red and yellow streaks that young Barry saw battling when his mother was killed. Future Barry saves young Barry but his mother dies. Anyway future Barry defeats RF but gets stranded in the past and takes on the Wells identity. Wells needs the Tachyon converted suit in order to return back to the past and save his Mom (because he feels guilty for having accidentally killed her)

Good to see Amanda Pays but the Best news I've heard is that Mark Hamil is coming back as the Trickster!!!!

I had prepared myself for RF to be wells or Detective pretty boy. Then came that scene where he beats the tar out of wells and then doesn't kill the detective. I really thought that meant it was the detective, from the future. Then came the end when wells gets the tachyon thingy... I am so confused.

I think that Eddie is Wells' ancestor, Wells being from the 25th century like the original Professor Zoom. In the comics, The Flash has a LOT of people in life from other time periods, esp the 25th century.
Hell, Wells could turn out to be Abracadabra for all we know.

Ok, how did wells get beat up by reverse flash yet he is reverse flash?

Alternately, one of the big classic Flash superspeed tricks is to appear to be in two places at once by moving and changing so fast that the human eye cannot discern the difference. That level of stupidly fast speed hasn't technically been seen yet, but it's a possibility - Reverse Flash certainly has more experience that Barry at the moment.
