Online ordering is back up, just got myself a dvd copy--will try and bring it to GenCon if I remember!

Not for me it's not. I'm still getting a "connection refused" notice on Netscape, and an error page on Explorer. :(

They just don't like me...

My favorite part has to be the purple ninja! Who is that guy? We watched the bandit fight two or three times to pick him out. My roommate made me promise at leats one purple ninja cameo in our D&D group's next session.

Just thinking about it is giving me the giggles. I have so many good quotes I want to post, but I don't want to spoil it for anyone. If you've gamed for more than a year, you'll find yourself recognizing a lot of the events in this movie.

Anyway, this is a great buy for yourself or any gamers in your life. I've already watched it twice. This is what the D&D movie should've been!

Apparently the purple ninja is a running gag with the Dead Gentlemen. When I watched the trailer for Dead Camper Lake, the purple ninja was mentioned!

I agree with Gnarlo...the psychological analysis commentary is hilarious!

buy it

I gotta 'me too' this one. If you are a person who can laugh at the things that we (gamers) do, then you'll laugh out loud several times during 'The Gamers'.

Don't forget to watch the DVD with Monte's interview commentary on, it's great to hear the discussion about the things we do, and how the Dead Gentlemen were savvy enough to put them in there.

I think the intro of the new character and the purple ninja are prime examples. Funny stuff.

I 'pre-reged' via email back in May on the DG web site, they sent me an email one Friday and I immediately went and ordered it. I got my copy around the end of June, I think.

Watched it again this morning just to get a giggle. Thought I'd post something for all those still sitting on the fence about getting it who happen to be halfling fans; the barmaid is the real life model for Lidda :) She's only in the scene for a second, but, hey, when you are a perv hobbit fancier, you take what you get :)
