The Gaming Table!

Okay, in homage to Steel_Wind's awesome thread where he has shown us his gaming setup, I thought I'd show off the following gaming table a friend of mine had custom built.

We're not currently using it because he had to move back in with his parents after they sold the building he was living in. (He lived there without haveing to pay rent, I believe, but had to help with the building's upkeep.)

Anyway, here's some pictures I took of the table...

I'd like to use the table for the game, but where my friend lives, in the city, is problematic. Plus, it's his parent's house. Right now, we're playing at another player's apartment. If we use it for the current campaign, at some point, then I'll take some better pictures.

Anyway, just thought I'd share.

And my groups current gaming setup is about what you have. I do have some excellent resources at my friend's apartment including dice arenas, square graph paper (large sheets), and his extensive gaming library. Actually, between him and me I probably have access to almost any WotC 3e book I'll need.

Setup at my regular DMs place:

Round kitchen table for the DM (though I still a small portion of it, about 1/5th for dice and pencils and stuff). Plastic folding table approx 6' long for battlemats. Books generally stay on the floor or on TV trays. coffee table underneath for holding minis, dice, other books for players.

Playing on the floor is fun too. Just not as comfortable. I'm not as young as I use to be, so jumping up off the floor takes longer now.
