The Great d20 sell off begins with GRR

Thanks for the product advice; I'm definitely looking hard at some of these. Like someone else said, how can I get my wife to allow the shelf space? :p

Or maybe someone from GR can tell me that they'll put the PDFs on sale, too, just for a limited time maybe? Pretty please? :)

12 items ordered for a grand total of $30! That's a damn good deal, even if I only get 1 year's use out of them. I also picked up 5 back issues of Dungeon. Now I only need #119 to have all of them from #100 onwards.

Funnily enough the Dungeon issues and shipping charges were both more than the Green Ronin books. Shipping was $40 (international) and the Dungeon issues were $7 each ($35).

I wonder if their $10 shipping knock off is a mistake. It says "For orders more than $100", maybe their cart isn't counting the sale price properly when calculating the bonus?

Seems that they've fixed the bug up now. Shipping costs are back to full price. I just missed out on a $10 discount by an hour or so. Even still, I got a great deal so I'm not complaining.

You should bear in mind that the sale doesn't actually start until tomorrow and it runs for a month. We only told distributors about it last week, so I'm sure info is still filtering out to their accounts. If you all talk to your local stores and they don't know about it, tell them to talk to their distributors for details.
Chris,

Will the sale be extended to European distributors like Esdevium?

I called my FLGS (All Fun N' Games in Cary, NC) last night and they said they'd honor these prices for me. Sweet! It's just down the street, and no shipping charges!

Advanced Bestiary is regularly rated one of the best D20 products of all time.

That was the one I was going to mention. That is an amazing book. I thought about buying a second copy, cheap, just because, well, it was cheap. :)

I was going through the list last night, reviewing it with my GR collection, and all the good stuff I already have!

I wonder if the Thieves World stuff will be good enough to get, with 4e on the horizon. The d20 mechanics might not transfer well, but how is the fluff? I wonder if it works well with the PoL setting and the lack of reliance on magic.

[ashamed]I never read any of the Theives World books, though I picked them up a lot in my high school/college years and considered them.[/ashamed]

I was more of a Donaldson/Leiber/Moorcock/Eddings fan back in those days.
