The Hunted (DM: IronSky, Judge: ???)

"Not all blind are equal, druid, and some can see more then sighted man. There are many types of vision." comments the elf turning white sightless orbs toward the wilden.

He then proceeds to follow other in the same way he did before, tapping his staff, leaving the druid wondering whether this guy is blind or what.

"Peace, guards, we're the good guys." says Illarion offering his papers

The Hunted: Day 1, Hour 3, Minute 4

After looking over Krav and Illarion papers, the guards settle back down. A portly man with a scragly beard you heard the other ones call Sergeant walks you the group towards the ship.

"You won't believe what happened in there, something tore 'em apart it did. Me, I think it was one of those devil cults we been hearin' so much about. Why else would they leave all that gold lying all over the cabin? There must be a couple hundred, maybe a thousand gold in there. Who knew Elean had so much money hidden away? Dun do her much good wherever she's gone now... Anyway, they put us here more I think to keep some'n from takin' all dat gold than keep what's left o' the crew clean... if'n you could call it that. Needed someone trustworthy, so they picked ol' Sergeant Rump, honestest of the honester peoples in Daunton, that's me."

He lowers a plank across to the ship and gestures towards it. "All yours deputies. Jus' let ol' Rump know if'n there be a thing y'all need."

While others boarded, Illarion remained for a moment.

"Could you describe it to me? I'm interested more in your feelings, first effect, what struck you as odd, did you notice anything in particular? Especially once you had time for all of it to settle. Anything nagging at you?"

After receiving the answer he climbs up on board after others. Pulling the coins he took from the other scene, he compared their wear and tear, looking for any distinguishing marks on them.

[sblock=OOC] for example, if acid dripped on few of them, it would leave a mark, even on gold, since there would be burned tarnish and collected dust. If somebody hit with the axe, few would be just nicked not outright destroyed etc...something that could mean they are from the same stash (which is of course probable)

Devinihm, wilden druid

Devinihm says nothing as Illarion speaks of differing kinds of blindness, simply cocks his head to one side as if trying to puzzle something out. He eventually shrugs, seemingly deciding that it doesn't matter to him one way or the other if his companion can see.

At the ship, he gazes toward the ship a moment, bracing himself, then moves aboard to see what new carnage (or, rather, old carnage he's seeing new) has been wrought.

"Tearing apart sounds like the Oni," says Krav while boarding.
Krav boards the boat and watches everyone carefully as they scan the interior.

The Hunted: Day 1, Hour 3, Minute 6

Rump looks at Illarion and blinks a few times as he hands Krav a spare lantern. "See anythin' that struck me as odd? Well, there are four people in there that were pulled apart an' thrown around the room looks like, that and there's gold all over mixed in wit' the body parts. Makes me think whoever or whatever killed 'em must not know what gold is - or doesn't care. As for what nags me is that we been posted here for more'n a day, then we get word that there's more murders like this one happenin' all over the city. No wonder the Lieutenant told us not to tell anyone what happened, there'd be a panic like in the city right quick."

As the others head inside the single large cabin of the Lucky Lucy, they see utter carnage. It literally looks like a bladed whirlwind came in here, slashed hamocks, chairs, tables, and people apart with equal ease. Bits and pieces of the crew are scattered all over, with the largest part being the woman from the picture with the long brown braid lying in one corner. The smell is horrific, especially since there's been some time for the viscera to begin to rot...

In the center of the room seems to be a small compartment in the floor that looks to have been ripped open, the latched cover embedded in the cabin wall nearby.

Devinihm notices that, strangely, even though there's coins strewn all over the cabin, there's only a couple inside. Also, the blood seems to have run down the sides of the compartment, but the bottom of the compartment is relatively clean.

As for Illarion's examination of the coins from the other scene, aside from some blood caked into the etchings and designs on them, he doesn't notice much else.

GM: As a note, some details might be noticeable without a skill check, but some won't be without one.

If you feel the description describes the action that would require skill check, feel free to roll it. I sometimes describe several potential skills or don't know enough to use particular skill (such as with the map) - I dislike rolling half of skills table to hit on the one that fits. I'll roll if you require it, no problem, otherwise.

Here is for the last description of coin comparison and the room state

Raijin examines the compartment size and compares it with his hands to the image on the picture of the bowl in question. He reexamines it to look for other objects of similar size.

The Hunted: Day 1, Hour 3, Minute 8

Illarion compares the his coins with the ones in the cabin and finds the result... inconclusive. There's no pattern amidst the coins - aside from the blood caked on them. They look just like the other mix of gold coins that travel about in the purses of Daunton's wealthy.

At Earth's suggestion, (we'll assume) Mab slips the ring onto the dead woman's ring finger - a perfect fit.
Raijin determines that the compartment is about two cubic feet in volume, plenty of room for a dozen bowls of its size. He's unable to conclude much else about it however.

GM: If you don't roll, for my convenience (I'm running 2 games, 2 PCs, and working 2 jobs) I'll treat it as though you got a 10 result. Enough to get basic details without getting any extra insights.

If you don't know which skill to use, I'll trust your judgment to pick whichever seems the most appropriate. If you aren't sure, just guess - saves time of us going back-and-forth when I'll just be best-guessing the skill to use anyway.
