They should have a backstabbing, a-social iconic played by a god damn munchkin. Thats what I think.

Maybe they should outsource writing the iconics to Ab3, who has a great site about dysfunctional characters .. and players :)

Makes me think we should have a little "Iconic Design" Contest

Personally, I'd be tempted to say just steal the personalities from some of the X-Men.

Wolverine could be a barbarian's personality, Jean could be a sorceror's, Cyclops a paladin's, Nightcrawler a rogue's... Rogue a fighter's... Storm a wizard's...

I like the idea of the iconic characters. Even though I've been playing since '78, it is kind of nice to have a face associated to some of the classes. Because of the miniature line, I'm currently playing Devis and Krusk!

So the 3.0 books introduced these critters. Mialee, Lidda, Jozan, Regdar, and so forth.

What a bunch of losers! ;)

Seriously, they were tiresome when they first appeared, IMO, and they get more annoying with each new picture.

They all seem so insipid. Why couldn't WotC have resurrected Emrikol the Chaotic, Mordenkainen, and Bigby? Those guys had 'tude, dude!

Views?
i don't give a damn one way or another.

i would dearly like to see how mord and big and all the other losers that have spells named after them look.

The Iconics are great! Without them, Piratecat might not have ever written Iconography. Go read this fine tale from one of the Ceramic DM tourneys and then think of their valuable place in D&D.

But who will do the deed? ...

I think that the A team and the B team from the DMG (1st ed.) should put aside their differences, and work together in order to realize the common good! Emrikol and Bigby can be back-up.

I'm not feeling the love for Falstaff the fighter, Angore the cleric, and Filmar, the mistress of magic...!
