The Invasion of Mori OOC [3.5][planar][PAUSED]

I posted my DM notes verbatim on my last update. Feel free to compare your notes with mine. I realize that the summarized round description was very, very short, and the details of who got damaged how much by what may not be specific enough to be immediately clear.

Dog Moon - Thanks!

NS - I went and tracked down why I had a conceptual problem. It turns out that Produce Flame doesn't affect your equipment either way. Consequently, the flames can't possibly be making your spear any hotter (assuming that they could even in the first place, which is unclear.)

The flames harm neither you nor your equipment.

RBG -
[sblock]Glad we cleared that up.

For what it's worth, you may want to look at hit points again before you heal anyone - there was some miscommunication regarding who was hit by which fireball.[/sblock]

Stop by Hanaav's Healing House. He's got it all - Cure spells for the meatbags, inflict spells for the deaders, and even repair spells for the constructs. Guaranteed lowest prices in the lower planes. So come on own to Hanaav's Healing House.

Void where applicable. Some offers not valid in Toril or the Flanaess. Offer not valid on vile damage. No refunds. Warning: May cause side effects in pregant women, rakshasa, or celestials

None of the wizards have the "repair" line of spells? Urg.

Well, assuming we both live through this, I could attempt to find them, but considering that our characters only just met and Vedak unlikely previously adventured with a construct race, it wouldn't make sense for him to have 'Repair' anything.

I'm amused by the fact that an undead artificer makes a better archer-cleric than an elven archer-cleric. Who knew? ;)

The artificer's motto is "anything you can do I can do better, just give me a minute."

I actually built Hanaav to not really be effective as anything other than a support character. If I had went the way of the wandificer, for example, this encounter would be over. Maximized Empowered Twinned Energy Admixtured [Acid] Energy Admixtured [Electricity] Energy Admixtured [Cold] Fireballs have a habit of ending things quickly, especially when you can fire off 3 per round. :D

But that's just cheesy.

Dear lord that's as bad as a psionic shaper Ferrix made for an Epic game. Uber-specialized cheese-meister with the summoning of constructs. He got initiative, and the encounter was over in one round. Sickening, truly sickening.

You naughty naught cheese-meisters! ;)

The artificer is a great idea as an Eberron class, but WotC and Keith Baker had no idea what they were unleashing upon the game. A base Artificer can be more powerful than a min/maxed Divine Metamagic abusing cleric build, and that wasn't even possible before Complete Divine and Libris Mortis.

Given enough cash, an Artificer can do almost anything.

Agreed, but the artificer is also incredibly easy to hamstring.

Don't give the party the necessary downtime to craft anything.

And make sure that whatever evil organization you choose to use has hit squads of highly-trained assassins gunning for the artificer's Dedicated Wrights :D

I'm assuming move action to grb the portable hole, standard to activate, and my golem spends his turn getting out. He'll be ready next round, right?
