Firete sits down on the grass with the others and tunes her harp. Does this party have a name? I would like to compose a lyric of our exploits, yet this is rather difficult without a name that defines us all.

Cheysuli Sage

... I got the feeling they were trying to capture us alive. They practically herded us out of the house and into the barn. I don't even want to think about why they would do such a thing."
"Hmmm... Definately not pleasant thinking!" Chey's grim battle facade vanishes instantly and her face is awash with adrenalyn fueled glee as she turns to her companions; "The plot thickens my friends; I knew there was something more to these kobolds, I just knew it, and I was right wasn't I?!" This last seems to be aimed at noone in particular, but you get the impression that Cheysuli is sticking her togue out at someone in her mind.
"No need to worry about that," Mr. Bricks replies. "Patronus here and I will get you back to town safe as you please."

As Mr. Bricks and Patronis start to leave Chey pounces on them both with hugs in mind, perhaps shocking the touch-shy Patronis the most. "We will see you guys soon I hope, look out for one another. I know it is not far, but be wary when you are travelling on your own."

"Greetings friends, I am Brenwar Holyshield, a paladin of Palladys...

Yishim introduces himself to the group. My name's Yishim, but I told you that already. I'm a wizard from Daunton, schooled in the arcane arts...
"Oh!" Cheysuli gasps at her ill manners "I am so sorry, I have been prattling on like a pixie; I am Cheysuli named Sage for the herb, but you may call me Chey if you wish. I have always wanted to meet a wizard; there was this song my father would sing when he had been at the faerie wine. But he was obviously misinformed, you do not even brandish a staff at all, let alone one like he described!"

Firete sits down on the grass with the others and tunes her harp. Does this party have a name? I would like to compose a lyric of our exploits, yet this is rather difficult without a name that defines us all.
"A name? I had not thought about it to be honest, is that usual then; for groups like us?... Wait a minute... you want to write a song about us?"

"I think before we have songs written about us, that we ought to have done something worthy- the which we have not," Miranna rasped. "Perhaps AFTER we have put an end to these kobolds, and whatever is behind them. And much the same, for any sense of a name for the group. At this point, we would be little more that 'that bunch from the tavern', for we've known each other a bare few days, and done little enough to claim a fancy title." She paused, glancing in the direction where the kobold lair ought to be.

"For myself, I am Miranna, called Stormsong, a warrior in both a physical and arcane sense- and doesn't that sound just as puffed up as what I tried to deflate..." She drew her sword and flourished it broadly, allowing a flicker of lightning to dance along the blade.

Well, I need somewhere to begin, don't I? Firete asnwers with a smile. Such a thing, of course, would be on going. Did I say I was going to compose it in a mere lark?

Chey, we wizards will channel our powers through a wide range of devices. Some do use staffs, while others wands or even crystals from across the planes. I, as you saw when I froze the fires, use this small orb. One day perhaps it'll be the start of a song. In fact, I did once hear a limerick...

Well, let's consider it as we start marching. If more of these Kobolds are around, we need to take care of the problem as we promised. Before more are hurt. With that, Yishim peeks at the map in a vain attempt to make heads or tails out of it.

"We can start right here," Miranna growled. "Let us have a look at the spellcaster that was leading these creatures, incase something it carried might be a clue."

OOC: Search the kobold bodies, starting with the caster. After that, we should move out.

As you inspect the robed kobold you discover that his necklace of fingers, in addition to being disgusting, is enchanted with a protective ward. This might explain why he was so able to avoid your early attacks.

In addition, the kobold with the shield is carrying a potion labeled "Restorative" in very fine hand-writing. It seems likely that this was stolen by its previous owner, rather than being homemade.

The rest of the kobolds are just carrying the low-quality gear you'd expect from them.

Yishim inspects the necklace.

I've seen one of these before, in a book I read at the Daunton library. In addition to its obvious protective capabilities, it can be used to shake off a nagging or debilitating condition. There's more to these Kobolds than I would have expected. One of you three should take it, even if it is a bit unsavory.

Man, what a way to waste a 20[/sblock]
