Miranna took a quick step to one side, out from between the two dangerous foes. Lightning surged along her sword-blade as she moved, trying to fend off attacks from both sides. Her desperate swing cut deeply into the injured kobold, and a broad coil of lightning lashed across the intervening space to slam into the Emissary...

OOC: Move: Shift to H4
Standard: Attack with Lightning Clash (encounter power). Primary attack (vs. AC against Denwarden 93), 1d20+7= 27 (CRIT, again- where are these coming from? Is IC trying to apologize for being down so much lately?), 12 damage (from crit); Secondary attack vs. REF of Emissary, 1d20+4= 18 (hit), 1d6+4= 9 Lightning damage; rolls Roll Lookup

Yishim circles around the battle, and unleashes a bolt of illusion which slams into the Emissary, who stumbles between Miranna and Brenwar.
[sblock=Actions]Move: to M3

Cheysuli Sage

Unable to maintain her hold over the Emissary's mind, Cheysuli looks about the cavern. Judging that Bren, Miranna and Yishim can keep the goblin and his remaining bodyguard on their toes, and that Firete could use a hand she make a plan to attack the priest from behind.

Chey fires a condemning remark and a quick blast of faerie fire at the guard's back as she slinks off into the side passage, unfortunately; with her mind on a tactical manoeuvre, Chey misses her mark.

[sblock=Actions]Minor - Curse denwarden 11

Brenwar grimaces under the strain of the emissary's blow but with a constant prayer to Palladys on his lips he manages to transcend the pain. In an instant the majority of his wounds heal and his hammer seems to burst into silver flame.
"By Palladys your foulness will blight this land no more!"

The Emissary attempts to raise his axe in defense, but he is not fast enough, and Brenwar's silver hammer comes down upon his head. The hammer caves in his skull, ensuring that he is dead.

He hits Brenwar for a measly 9 damage and completely misses Miranna. Oh, and he takes 4 from Divine Challenge. Rolls. Ugh. At least he saves against Curse of the Dark Dream.
Speak for yourself I need that HP, and I almost hate to mention this but if Brenwar was included in that one attack then he doesn't take the 4 damage.

[sblock=TwoHeads]Regarding Virtue of Valour, it's hard for me at times to tell who qualifies for it as I have to wait until your post a lot of the time to see who manages to bloody or kill and still be in range. And also, I'm on a different timezone here (GMT+10) so I'm in bed when a lot of you guys post. Thanks for allocating it when I can't and I'll try to do it when I can. As I understand it, it's a free action I can spend once per round. If I don't and it can be spent, just go on these priorities and you'll do what I would have done anyway.
1. Who ever qualifies for it
2. Who ever needs it the most (has the least hp)[/sblock]

I almost hate to mention this but if Brenwar was included in that one attack then he doesn't take the 4 damage.

His attack wasn't a close burst. As a standard action, he can make two MBAs against two different targets. If it were an aoe he wouldn't take the damage. But the way I see it, these were two separate attacks with two separate damage rolls. So he takes the damage. Which really is a pity. [/sblock]

"By Palladys your foulness will blight this land no more!"

The Emissary barely manages to use his axe to avert the hammer from crushing his head into his shoulders, and instead takes a painful blow down one side of his skull. attempts to raise his axe in defense, but he is not fast enough, and Brenwar's silver hammer comes down upon his head. The hammer caves in his skull, ensuring that he is dead.

The kobolds freeze momentarily at the death of their leader, but quickly snap into action. The armored one dodges its way to Firete and stabs at her face, but she easily parries it. The priest takes advantage of the distraction to step back and summon more flames to use against the bard. This time, Firete is practically immolated.

[sblock=Status]Firete (6/28, bloodied)
Cheysuli (21/26+3, Concealed)
Miranna (24/29
)
Brenwar (21/29
+3)
Yishim (18/22+3)
Denwarden 11 (-5+5)
Denwarden 93 (-37
, dead)
Wyrmpriest (-8)
The Emissary
(-106, dead)

Brenwar gets Virtue of Valor this round. I think he deserves it.

Denwarden 11 shifts to L4, and then again to M5. I've never used kobolds before this adventure, and I have to say I'm really digging the shift as a minor. Theoretically, he attacks Firete.

The Wyrmpriest shifts to P7 and casts Fire Orb on Firete, which hits for 12 damage, bloodying her.

[sblock=Monster Info]Here's what you know:
The Emissary

Denwarden
AC 18 | Fort ?? | Reflex 16| Will 16
MBA: +7 vs AC, 1d8+1 damage, and the target is marked until the end of the Denwarden's next turn. Also, the Denwarden gets +1 to attack rolls for each kobold ally adjacent to the target.

Wyrmpriest

Seeing that the Emissary won't be bothering them anymore Brenwar moves to assist his ally Firete. Hoping to catch the Denwarden off guard by approaching its flank he swings his hammer in a wide arc. Sadly the Kobold sees it coming and manages to avoid the fate of the Emissary. Brenwar utters a prayer to Palladys as another tiny silver owl flits about the Kobold's head.
