The Jade Frontier, part 2 (DM: THB, Judge: Lord Sessadore)

[sblock=ooc]Goblin will take the AoO, and miss, which is actually a shame if you check the link. And yeah, I'm not wild about the paladin's mark either. In my tabletop game, I chose to play a swordmage specifically so I could mark a target without having to follow it everywhere.[/sblock]

Chey's crouched figure explodes into a whirlwind of gravel and stone; detritus from the ruined walls and flagstones of the keep; the twister winds it's way down the corridor in quick pursuit of Malgrim.

[sblock=Actions]Misty step x2 from warrior 89 and cutter 49, teleport 10 squares to -A,12.[/sblock]

[sblock=hp counts]Weird, I had Firete down 7 hp, but she hadn't been attacked. Oh, and also I assumed you had all been at full at the start of the encounter. I guess I ought to correct that too. Ergh... no, you all start at full. Don't want to spend the time needed to go through the old posts just to peg a couple hp off. Besides, with Song of Rest, you probably did all start at full anyway.[/sblock]

Chey erupts back into this reality, only to see Malgrim standing nearby, his arms crossed over his bloated chest. He smiles widely, revealing a maw of rotten, jagged teeth. "Stupid girl. Never chase snake into den. I show why." At that, he snaps his fingers, and he and his cronies rush around Chey. Malgrim draws a gnarled club and, laughing, brings it down hard on Chey's head, disorienting her slightly in addition to causing significant pain. The other goblins however are less lucky, for the vicious winds wreathing the Tiefling prevent them from landing solid blows.

Back down the hallway, the rest of the group is also having some trouble. Brenwar is hit in the leg by a javelin, and as he staggers another goblin rushes up and stabs him from behind. Another goblin arcs a spear across the melee and catches Firete in the side. The other goblins are unable to connect, but the press of bodies threatens to overwhelm the adventurers.

[sblock=Status]Initiative:
Malgrim (-19)
Warrior 30
Warrior 76
Warrior 81
Warrior 86 (-10, Aegised)
Cutter 18
Cutter 36
Cutter 74
Yishim (22/22+4)
Firete (20/28)
Cheysuli (11/31, bloodied, slowed, -2 to AoOs)
Brenwar (12/35, bloodied)
Miranna (35/35)

Chey will get Virtue of Valor's thp this turn, because she's probably going to need it.

For his move, Malgrim uses Goblin Shuffle, which allows him and two allies to shift half their speed. He shifts to -B12, Cutter 74 shifts to -B11, and Warrior 81 shifts to A12. He'll then draw a club and attack Chey, dealing an additional 2d6 damage when he has CA. Hits AC 28 for 15 damage. Chey is slowed and takes a -2 penalty to opportunity attacks until the end of Malgrim's next turn. She's also bloodied.

Warrior 30 comes from the southern chamber and throws a javelin at Brenwar, hitting for 10 damage. Brenwar is bloodied.

Warrior 76 comes from the north and throws a javelin at Firete, hitting AC 19 for 8 damage.

Warrior 81 attacks Chey and misses. He then shifts to A13.

Warrior 86 attacks Miranna and misses.

Go, my minions! Cutter 18 charges Brenwar from the north, Cutter 36 charges Brenwar from the south, and Cutter 74 attacks Chey. 36 hits Brenwar for 5 (Cutters deal an additional point of damage when they have CA), others miss. Rolls.

I'm a little surprised Chey's still up. Both attacks that missed her did so because of concealment, by the way.

This next turn looks like it's going to be a pivotal one. Good luck![/sblock]

If you want to include me in a burst attack to clear these minions feel free. I plan to heal on my turn, just don't knock me unconscious ;)
Also it may be time to start using some of our major resources (dailies and magical items)

Visibly shaken by the blow to the head from Malgrim, Cheysuli spits a curse at him before stumbling back into the Feywild. She once more returns to reality behind the smug goblin leader but this time a squall of small stones continue to orbit her, a slightly sinister chuckle escapes Chey's lips as she calls forth intense blue-white flames from beneath Malgrim's feet, but the nimble goblin dances out of the flames without so much as a singed hair. Infuriated, the warlock focuses her resolve and readies herself for retaliation.

Miranna twisted her free hand and made a sharp, slapping gesture- and halfway down the room the air around Chey responded by coalescing into a hardened shield for just an instant.

Then she went back to work on the flood of enemies in front of her- she stepped forward a pace, trying to support Brenwar. Lightning danced along the blade of her sword, and crackled in the air around her.

OOC:
>Immediate Interrupt : Channeling Shield, reduce Malgrim's attack on Chey by 7 HP.
>Move: Shift to -A 19
>Standard: Attack with Lightning Clash (encounter); primary +9 vs. AC against Cutter 18= 15 (probably a miss, and minimum damage if it hits); roll Roll Lookup

Angered by her first failure, Firete attacks again.

[sblock=Actions] War Song Strike (1d20+8=26) on Warrior 86 Damage (1d8+5=6)[/sblock]

[sblock=Plans] I'll get out my daily when there's someone a bit more worthy, when this guy is doing I'll let loose my Blazing Starfall, which doesn't do much damage but it is multiple.
Twoheads, I do several attack rolls for that if it hits a few targets, don't I?[/sblock]
