The Jade Frontier, part 2 (DM: THB, Judge: Lord Sessadore)

I'll take care of the rear guard, don't worry!. Yishim rushes towards the passageway. The rest of the party hears a crack of thunder as both goblins careen backwards down the passageway; dead.

[sblock=Actions]Minor: If needed I can cast light on Brenwar to keep their area lit.

Yishim is relieved to see that there are not additional goblins hiding in the halls. He is also pleased to see his spell pick up the ambushers and toss them hard into the stone wall.

Malgrim and his crony attempt to pull down Miranna. Malgrim times his swing poorly and crushes his own foot with his club. The other goblin at least poses Miranna a credible threat, but not one so dangerous she isn't able to dodge.

The two goblins in the hallway throw more javelins at Brenwar and Firete. One spear bounces off Brenwar's shield, while the other clatters at Firete's feet. The two goblins exchange a nervous look.

[sblock=Status]Initiative:
Malgrim (-34, bloodied, Cursed)
Warrior 30
Warrior 76 (-7, Sanctioned)
Warrior 81
Yishim (22/22+4)
Firete (20/28)
Cheysuli (16/31)
Brenwar (21/35+4, +1 to all defenses, 3 resist all, +2 to saves)
Miranna (32/35)

Virtue of Valor goes to Brenwar. Cutters have a Fort of 12. Majestic Word has a range of 5 in heroic tier, and then increases to 10 in paragon and 15 in epic.

Malgrim lucks out with Goblin Shuffle recharging again, so guess what? He shifts to -D14, and Warrior 81 shifts to -D12. And then he tries to bludgeon Miranna. Hahaha! That's a miss, by the way. Check the roll. Seriously, just check it. That's incredible. I guess his luck just ran out.

Warrior 30 moves to A16 and misses Firete.

Warrior 76 moves to -A12 and throws a javelin at Brenwar. I think next time I'm just going to attack someone else, screw the damage.

Warrior 81 attacks Miranna. Great turn all around, guys. You goblins are real freaking pros.

I'm glad I haven't been rolling like that for my PCs lately.[/sblock]

Miranna continued to focus her attention on Malgrim- once again the sweep of her blade was accompanied by a rumble of distant thunder. Sparks of electricity leapt through the air as well, falling around Malgrim's shoulders like drifting snowflakes...

OOC:
>Minor: Aegis Malgrim
>Standard: attack Malgrim with Booming Blade, +9 vs. AC= 12 (miss, again); rolls Roll Lookup

Satisifed with the results, Firete turns to Brenwar. What say we finish the ones here then go down that passage on the right? Get them from behind. She then turns and calls down the coridoor. Yishim, is there anymore back there?
Firete then draws her wand and aims it at the warrior. Finish him off, Brenwar!

[sblock=Actions]Swift, draw wand.
Standard
Cutting Words on Warrior 30 (1d20+5=21) Damage (1d8+5=13) [/sblock]

[sblock=About that pull]
Firete if you don't do the pull I'll charge and get an extra 1d8 damage for my Vanguard's Weapon. Up to you but I do enjoy my damage.
[/sblock]

[sblock=OOC]I don't think I have a choice about the pull with that attack, unless the DM says otherwise. The alternative is to go up and attack him melee, but since I rolled full damage I don't really want to do that. [/sblock]

"On it," with that Brenwar pounds toward the small goblin.As the hammer descends a small silver owl begins to circle the goblin. However, the goblin wisely decides to dodge out of the way of the hammer rather then try to parry it with his own weapon.
