[sblock="JRYoung"]

"We could 'Pursssuade' the Goblinsss to restore the water supply, then the girl is oursss." Skalisss anounces in Common. "Thisss isss justice in the eyesss of Natari, the Goblinsss have wronged you, water isss the giver of life and cannot be denied to any creature."

"What sssay you friendsss, ssshall we go bargin with the Goblinsss? Justice will be ssswift if they deny water to the Koboldsss."

Hadrak becomes somber at Skaliss proposal, his jaws setting in stuborn way.

-''No, no!'' he whispers harshly. ''This is not about Justice because we are in no position to judge. Just because the kobolds are losing this war does not make their cause just! Just because the goblins are starving them does not means the kobold will not do worse once they gain the upper hand! We don't know the full truth of this conflict. All we know for certain is that there is a little girl in this room who is scared and held against her will. Even I can't claim to know the fulll will of the gods we serve, but I at least know this to be an incontrovertible truth : We must bring Tilla home now! We will not reward kidnapping by becoming the kobold's mercenaries!''

Vixo walks over to the girl and takes a closer look.

Is she restrained in any way? Does she look healthy? What is her reaction to Vixo?

He says to the chief in draconic
[sblock=draconic]"How did you end up with her anyways? Did you get the short end of some bargain?"[/sblock]

Did the chief respond to Vixo when he asked how he got her?

also here's my insight for understanding the party's motives:

1d20+1=2 :blush:

"Ssslavery is againssst Netari'sss law, but allowed in many kingdomsss" Skalisss whispers back. "They claim the girl was aquired honessstly by their standardsss, who are we to judge? If sssome wrongdoing can be essstablished here then jussstice can be ssserved. Holding the girl isss vile, I will not allow that. I am sssimply looking for a greater wrong that can be undone, to perhapsss get through thisss without ssslaughter."

''I understand your concern but we have nothing to offer the goblins for the water and so we will have to fight either way. Since we don't know who is the lesser evil between these two, we might as well not fight on the behalf of Tilla's captors!

Okay people, get ready before we lose our chance!''.
he whispers to his nearby comrades. Suddenly he invokes the Great Forger assistance to free little Tilla and start the fight by blasting the kobold cornering him. The attack invokes a blessing of the Great Forger on Cross to help him dispose of the pest.

-''Go to Tilla, Trevor!'' Urges Hadrak.

[sblock]The DM hinted that time was running out and I don't want to lose the chance to get the drop on the kobold.

Intitiative (1d20+1=3)

Eh, I hope I do get in a surprise round because otherwise I will be acting last on the regular round!

If I do get a surprise round;

[url=http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/2070942/]Lance of Faith (1d20+5=16, 1d8+6=10)
vs Reflex,

I target KP2 (pretty much my only option!). A hit grants +2 to hit to Cross on his next attack against KP2.

The chief is watching all the wisphering going on very suspisiously.

He hardly looks at Vixo when he answers

[sblock="Draconic"]
"We trade for the girl, we let the father pass without harm and take his crates. He claim the grey rocks inside very valuable and he will sell the rocks and return to buy the girl back. He tells us that the girl a dowser, and she is, she finds water for us. But not enough yet. I think he lies to us, his rocks not valuable, so he send you to bring back the girl without paying"

[/sblock]

He looks back to the group wisphering

"So, has you decided what you will do?"

Edit:

[sblock="OOC"]
