The Last Gods - In Game - The Sword and Scale Trading Company

The path continues on towards the masoleum, which is now not too far ahead. Walking cautiously over a rise in the path you see an enormous man sitting cross legged on the ground about 100' ahead. His skin is light blue and his hair silvery white. He rises, a gargantuan morningstar swinging menacingly at his hip, and slowly walks towards you.

"I am Wayfickle, Gaurdian of the Masoleum. Leave or perish. The only way into the masoleum is through me"

The beholder's main eye watches on, blocking all use of magic and psionics.

"I was thinking to ask 'friend or foe'," says Skleroc/Halidon. "But the answer is clear given our mission," he adds, drawing his longsword.
 

Aram/Orin brandishes his mace. I know how to use this weapon, but it doesn't feel quite right. Aram/Orin takes a practice swing with the mace, and begins to realize that this new body possesses abilities very different from his previous form. Channeling one of these new abilities to increase his form's strenght, Aram/Orin prepares for combat.


OOC: Use Ability Increase for +4 Str...not sure if supernatural abilities are suppressed?

"Sssomething ssseemsss wrong," Orin/Skleroc says, readying his sling. "If our powersss are nullified here, ssso too would be thossse of a god... or a guardian."

OOC: Holding an action to shoot with a sling if Wayfickle comes within one rane increment. +8 to hit, 1d4+5 damage because the belt of giant strength ain't working. :( If he gets closer than that, Orin/Skleroc will switch to the morningstar (+13/+8/+3, 1d8+5), or claw/claw/bite if he doesn't have time to draw a weapon (+13/+13/+8, 1d4+5/1d4+5/1d4+2.)
 

Without the support of the Oracle to help guide him, Kageri/Aram draws the scimitars at his sides. The instincts of the body quickly take over as he steps off to the side and disappears from plain sight. He remains within 30 feet of Skleroc and will move to flank the giant.

"I'm having a hard time getting usssed to thisss body," Orin/Skleroc says, trying and failing to trigger any of the lizardman's vaunted abilities.
