"Dismissal is, as I recall, more easy for priests than for mages. That said, the efreeti claimed that we would still have to find the path to continue after we defeat him. I cannot say that I saw it in that room, but we didn't have much time to check."

"For useful resources, if we need to buy time, I can place a wall of ice, but I am uncertain whether it would hold off an efreeti for long, if at all. I can provide a lightning bolt, and I can prepare a few more spells that might prove useful with the mnemonic enhancer, and dispel magic the efreet might try to use. With the nexus from Laynie, I could potentially use a weakening spell in place of my fireball, and I could summon a swarm of shields, but those strike me of questionable value if the efreeti relies mostly on magic. I can also provide protection from the efreeti's fires, and some other minor magics that may prove useful."
