"For useful resources, if we need to buy time, I can place a wall of ice, but I am uncertain whether it would hold off an efreeti for long, if at all. I can provide a lightning bolt, and I can prepare a few more spells that might prove useful with the mnemonic enhancer, and dispel magic the efreet might try to use. With the nexus from Laynie, I could potentially use a weakening spell in place of my fireball, and I could summon a swarm of shields, but those strike me of questionable value if the efreeti relies mostly on magic. I can also provide protection from the efreeti's fires, and some other minor magics that may prove useful."

"True, I can banish the efreet, but I am not prepare for that actually." replies Hogarth "I would need some rest and a time for prayer. I could also ward some people from the efreet fire. At the moment, I can ward one person from the fire of the efreet. I could also surround him in silence, to prevent him to use his magic... until he get out of the area, as I wouldn't want to prevent our casters to use there magic. Maybe we could keep him away with a circle of protection?"

"We definitely don't want to linger. I do think though that we can spare the time for Tenebrynn and me to use our mnemonic enhancers and to anchor some minor spells to our minds."

(That should be 10 minutes for the enhancer, 15 minutes for preparing other spells into empty spell slots, if we do go that route.)

The important, it is to leave us the chance to open the combat. If we have the first strike, we might limit him pretty much the damage he can do to us." tells Rinaldo.

(Huh, seems like I'm an idiot (That's news? (Shush!)).
I totally forgot I don't have any free spell slots since I was looking at my character sheet rather than the sblock with the prepared spells. Still have the option to prepare 3 levels worth of spells through the enhancer, though.
Viable options look to me at 3rd level:
dispel magic+1, haste, lightning bolt+1, protection from energy+1, slow.
Also, magic missile +3.
For the laughs, ray of frost +6. :p)
