The Look of Tieflings

brainstorm

First Post
I'm a bit confused on the look of tieflings. I got the Races and Classes preview book and the text describes tieflings as having short horns on their heads, tails, but looking mostly human from afar. Yet, if you look at the illustrations, their horns are very pronounced. Also, looking at the tiefling cleric and rogue miniatures from Desert of Desolation, both look like the description in the text, not the illustrations. So, which is it? Has anyone read anything from WotC that clarifies which way it will go?

IF I use tieflings -- and that's a significant if -- then IMC they will be per text. Maybe minus horns and tail. Especially tail.

Well, I don't have R&C, so what I'll say is only based by what I read here at ENW.

The horns and tail of the tiefling grow as the character advances.

I plan to get R&C today, so I will tell you all my educated opionon on it later, but from what I have heard, the tails and horns grow as the chracters get stronger.

Yeah, that makes sense, but it still doesn't solve the problem of them looking goofy and awkward as heck. ;)

"Hooray! I got a 'horn' attack! And a neck injury from flailing about my newly massive skull!"
