The name is the game!

You think you can do better than WotC writers when it comes to names? (not that it's that hard, really). Then you're the one wanting to participate in this thread!

These are the rules!

You have until Wednesday 17, 12:00 hours GMT to submit three names. These names wil be of one martial maneuvre, one magical tradition, and one character class[/url]. You can participate as much as you like in the thread, but only one of each of these cathegories will be considered per poster.

The martial maneuvre to be named consist of the figher gaining +4 to his Defense against one single melee attack; if that attack fails, he can make an attack as an Immediate action againt the opponent that failed.

The magical tradition emphasizes changing shapes and transmuting your own, your opponent's and your enemies' bodies as a means of attack and defense (and Control).

The class name wil be an alternative to the Warlock or the Warlord (your chose).

After the submitting perious has expired I'll compile them and then the voting can begin. That will end possibly next Sunday, later if compiling all those names take longer han I've planned. Each poster can the vote once for the name they like the best in each cathegory. Winner(s) get a big ego boosting. Let the game begin!

EDIT: Thanks to the infortunate tagging of the thread, looks like we'll be running two separate contests, one with the serious names and other with the joke names. The difficult task will be separating them. Keep those names coming!

Manuever: Stick and Move
Magic Tradition: Witchcraft
Class: Thug (although I think "Warlord" is a perfectly decent name.)

Keep it rough. Keep it simple. DMs who want to call stuff "Sheathing the Foreskin" and "NounVerber" can come up with those names themselves. It's easier to add flavor than to subtract it when it comes to D&D. This is especially true for players, rather than DMs.

Regdar's Riposte (Gotta give some love to the 3E iconics.)

Mutable Form (As in, "I am Mallik, Master of the Mutable Form...and you are a toad.")

Strategist/Tactician (I know it's less awe-inspiring than warlord, but class names don't really have a tradition of being awe-inspiring.)

Okay, I guess I am the only one that took the "humour" label seriously... ><

Well, I don't think the whole subject is very serious to start with, and there are enough threads about names already, so I thought that would be the best tag.
