The Necromancer's Skull (Judge - covaithe)

Vixo, having spent so much time around tunnels and having the innate senses of a kobold, is able to easily recognize the tell-tale signs of a buried trap door at the site of the marked headstone - dirt always sifts down through the cracks given enough time, leaving a square shape on the surface. After a few minutes digging, the group indeed finds not a coffin, but the trap door Vixo predicted. There's a stout lock on the latch, still sound after years buried in the dirt.

The story so far:
- The party found the abandoned town of Marlowe's Grove with no trouble (successful hard skill challenge).
- The party was unable to find the entrance to the tomb that evening (failed hard skill challenge).
- The party was attacked by zombies and defeated the zombies, but the rogues took a beating from ongoing necrotic damage.
- The party took an extended rest with no interuptions.
- The party has now found the entrance to the tomb (successful easy skill challenge).[/sblock]

"Do you want us to stay far behind so you can get kill before we can come to your help, or do you prefer to stay just behind you where we will do enough noise so you can stop to step like you want to sneak your mother for cookies. Seriously, except you want to scout ahead and take the risk of get killed without us, which is likely seeing how you handle yourself yesterday, forget to try to make no noise, stealth is not in my tactic book yet, I have no talent for it. Just stay aware of traps, I'll be just behind you and I'll stay aware of monsters."

Vlastos snickers at the banter between the spellsword and the thief regarding stealth in part because he too has never been any good at it, though he has seen Steppyn "disappear" and wondered at the art.

I'm best in 4th position, I believe, he mentions, and then waits for either Skalisss or Vixo to step forward.

A ladder leads down from the trap door. After a few feet, the sun ceases to penetrate the tomb, and darkness takes hold. Steppyn is able to see that the ladder goes down a chute for 20 feet, then opens up into what appears to be a room leading east from the wall the ladder is mounted on.

OOC: Give me a marching order (including distances) and illumination source (assuming you're not just going to blindly follow Steppyn's voice ;) )
