The new D20 Canon

First Post
I have been looking at all the stuff that is coming out for D&D under D20. And it seems to me that because there is so much and some of it is above and beyond what WotC is apparently able to do now, it seems that what will be considered canon is going to change. So I guess what I mean to say is what do you think will be the d20 canon. That is, what 10 books beyond the hardbacks published by WotC would you recommend a friend buy?

Relics and Rituals 1 and our upcoming Tome of Horrors. Those to me are the two most "core book" type products that apply to all gamers more than just to a particular setting. I would add Traps and Treachery to that list as well.

What is canon and what I recomend are to different things. Canon is whatis in the SRD. That is what everything is built from. That is the commonground that most of us start at.

10 books I recomend in no particuliar order other then the orser I think of them

Occult Lore
Path of Swords
Book of Rightciousness (actually this would be number one on my list)
Mercanaries
Quintessential Rogue
Legions of Hell
Bluffside
FR: Silver Marshes
Rokugen
Quintessential Cleric

Depends on taste and the campaign. There can be no such thing as canon in the d20 environment, except on a campaign-specific scale. Legions of Hell for instance, would probably be canon in a game I run. But it won't be for most other folks.

Wow, Clark, you just read my mind.

That might explain why I have a headache.

Edit: Also forgot to add, Books of Eldritch Might I and II.

IMC, only the three core books are canon, everything else is negotiable.

That being said, the things I'm most open to are Forgotten Realms feats, Relics and Rituals, Defenders of the Faith, Oriental Adventures feats, and Book of the Righteous.

Assuming only stuff targeted at D&D/d20 fantasy:

R&R I definitely (have yet to see R&R II)
BOEM I (ONLY)
Book of the Righteous (What DDG should have been)

Beyond that, it really depends on the campaign. I'll provisionally mention:

Path of the Sword
Spells & Spellcraft
Mercenaries
Shaman's Handbook
Bluffside
Legions of Hell
Quintessential Wizard

Agreed, completely. Heck, even the Core is subject to such consideration.

For me, canon would be my netbook.;)

Seriously, though, if I scraped my current campaign, going into a new one, I would personally require:

Alchemy & Herbalists
Shaman (Green Ronin, there's another, but I haven't seen it yet)
Manual of the Planes
Relics & Rituals 1 (R&R2 tentatively added, just ordered it today)
Eldritch Might 1
Eldritch Might 2 (I'd definately switch Bards)
Call of Cthulu
Dragonlords of Melnibon'e
Quintessential Wizard
Hammer & Helm
