Having said all that, the critics of the movie are definetly jumping the gun. And even if the movie portrays EVERY Jew as being in favor of Christ's crucifixion (which would not be true to the Gospels, as I understand them ), it still has a right to be made and shown to whomever wants to see it. Gibson is definetly to be commended for suffering for a path he felt would be bringing him closer to G-d. He preserved and created a vision, which as indicated by those who have actually seen it, is compelling and moving.
I certainly hope the movie can bring the kind of reaction Horowitz had to every one who sees it, and I suspect it will.
