Shiba Temuro's Hand

1: The sword slashes the waterfall; guards against the punch of the feline!

2: The southern cross slays the shrine; scatters the chi of the abomination!

3: The lightning leaps in the midst of the tower; waves away the terror of the wood!

4: The kama brutalizes the tundra; negates the roar of the barrens!

5: The phoenix suddenly withers the dungeon; reduces the chi of the feline!

Though the pain of failure above me looms
I shred it with my rapier straight.


A shimmering sword appears in the Poets outstreached hand. He charges through the graveyard at Temuro, attempting to catch him off-balance.

Drawing his katana, Temuro slashes into the rapid charge of the Poet, on the guard for other attacks of his opponent.

Merak, your move is impressive, and is enhanced by this day, but your move is weakened severly by Shiba's expertise with the sword. His expertise is what makes this round his, otherwise it would have went to you.

Encouraged by his early lead, Temuro, like a red lightning, quickly leaps into melee with Merak, ready to wave away the assaults of the Poet.

Noting that his spiritual ally, the Southern Cross, is visible in the sky, the Poet draws upon its power:

To protect myself from another loss
I call upon the Southern Cross
To rain terror on the desert of his honor.
Though his skill with the blade impresses
The slash of that abomination degresses
When upon the Poet the heavens stir.

The constellation seems to fall from the sky into the Poets hand, becoming a shuriken of star-stuff. The Poet hurls this mystical weapon at Temuro, hoping that it's grace will protect him from reprisal.

The Kabuki dolls Kimono flares as the judge is forced to dodge the falling stars that Merak Speilman has called down. She seems pissed at Merak for such an outright amazing attack. She also seems pissed that Merak didn't miss Shiba.

"You are a fool to mess with me! Don't you dare do that again! You win this round, but don't even tempt me to fight you!"

You can hear a sound coming from the sky. It is coming closer. It is a few words. These words are: "FINAL ROUND"

Only one can help me now
In this blasted land
Oh Phoenix pure come to life
From the cold death of ash and sand.
He might try to freeze your ire
But ice has no chance 'gainst your fire.

An unmarked grave between Temuro and the Poet shivers with supernatural anticipation. A trail of ash and dust winds out of it, coalescing in moments into the shape of a proud bird of prey. Suddenly, it bursts into flame and sings a shrill note of bloodlust as it flies mightily towards Temuro. Its heat causes plants to wither into ash as it passes.

Seeing the Phoenix roaring towards him, Temuro prays to his ancestors to negate the assault of the clan's spiritual symbol before brutally assaulting Merak with his katana.
