I'ts gonna sound stupid but we'd like to sort of... 'try out' the relationship."

"Basically, we're trying to reestablish the fringe as a civilized area so this outer town can be rebuilt as a dock town. Our biggest problem is that kobolds, in combination with other creatures keep making it through our wall defenses and we aren't sure how. All the sewers opening we find are too narrow, so we have no idea." We'd basically like you to take a few days to a week, investigate and report back. We'll pay you 100gp, 200gp if you really find the reason for the issues."
 

This is... an interesting task. comments Arden. Are you by any chance in possession of a general map of the area, sir? I suppose that would greatly aid us...
 

"Wading through the waste of civilization doesn't sound that glorious. But it is a start, as we are new in this tribe. Yes, a map would be helpful. I hope we have to secure the entrances, and the kobolds are not already live below of us..." Ragnar says.
