As the scorpion falls, Ragnar charges the beetle, still howling!
But he misses this time...

The Scorpion scuttles over to Ragnar but the warrior avoids the grasping claws.

The Fire Beetle unleashes a gout of fire nearly filling the room. Both Mal and Ragnar are burned by the flames.

A scarred kobold, dressed in rags comes out of the darkness. It hurls a cage filled with hundreds of biting and stinging insects, but its aim is poor, and it strikes Mal on the leg, most of the creatures spill on the floor but mall still suffers some ill effects.

[sblock=Gene]I'm not sure how I got down to 24 hp... The fire beetle knocked me down to 29 but I'm missing where the other 5 points of damage came from.[/sblock]

Mal would like to attack the damn fire breathing beetle but it's in the dark and his eye sight isn't all that keen. So he moves up to the Scorpion and strike it. He hits it and feel good about it.

crushing surge (1d20+10=19, 1d10+6=7) hit, +2 temp hp which matches the ongoing damage.

saving throw (1d20=6) fail

Aelek moves next to Ragnar. As he does so, he shouts. "On 3, you swing at the scorpion." Just as he move next to the scropion, he shouts "3" and both warriors swing there weapon at the scorpion. Aelek sword miss, but distract the scorpion so Ragnar can easily connect with a solid blow. As he sees the kobold "Stop to be lazy" tells Aelek to Mal "there more company coming." Insulted, he shakes up the effect of the poison and come to help.

Arden moves where Aelek was and tries to confuse the beetle with a spell, this time, with succes.

A sling stone slams into Mal's shoulder, injuring him. (Bloodied) The Kobold that fired scuttled back. down the corridoor
Dodging Ragnar's attept to fend them off, two stirges zip into the room, targeting Angel and Ragnar.
One of them pierces Ragnar's side and has latched on.

Aelek smash aside the scorpion, killing the wounded creature. He then move over his corpse, shouting over the fighting noise. "Ragnar, bracket that coakroach, Mal, keep going, you have only a flesh wound."
