The Retaking of Forgehold - 4E

After some argument about who is going in first, you proceed down the stairway.
Dominating the room ahead is a long trench filled with a glowing green substance. Beyond the trench, a small, reptilian humanoid stands in a shadowy chamber, gaping at you. It carries a sling, and quickly reaches into a pouch at its belt for a stone. It hisses and shouts, “Intrudersss! Intrudersss!”

Roll for Initiative. Areas in black are currently dark.

Initiative (1d20+1=10)

-''There! Ten gold piece.'' Mal Exclaims and throws his hand axe.

Mal throws his hand axe at the green rat. (1d20+5=10)

It whizzes past the kobold into the darkness.

-''Damn it, I better find the axe. It's worth five gold piece.''

Mal Then steps forward.

[sblock] Standard action was the throw, Spot was minor, Move was two square ahead. I want to keep a running distance before the pool, I think I might try to jump. [/sblock]

By the look of things, unless that kobold or the warlord (sorry, cant remember name. I'm slightly drunk) roll higer than 20, I'll be going first.

Angel quickly walks 3 squares forward, gaining conceilement (2ac/ref, shadow walk) and shots a crackling bolt of eldritch blast at the kobold. (+1 hit, primeshot)

Eldritch Blast against Kobold. (1d20 5, 1d10 4=[11, 5], [5, 4])

That looks like 16vs reflex, 9dmg.

The dark Purpleish bolts leaves a faint glowing trail of sparks as it lands its blow unto the unfortunate kobold.

edit: I forgot Curse... I put my curse on the kobold as a minor, to be used on the next round.

I the kobold is down, Arden moves diagonally forward to his right and one more square forward (move). The he lights up the sunrod to lighten the dark corners (20 foot radius of illumination for four hours; i'm guessing a minor action to activate) and readies an action to interrupt any foe to come out nearing or attacking (standard).

The sunrod should lighten up the dark corners in the chamber. Is there something worth of note there?
