The Rouse Picture: Other 4E Clues?

I was amazed by Kwalish Kid's careful analysis of the recent USA Today article and picture found here........http://www.usatoday.com/money/economy/2008-04-01-300991490_x.htm#

His extrapolation of the Dragonborn rules off the screen was greatness. It also got me wondering......are there any other clues we missed in the picture?

In the picture, just above The Rouse's head, is Watto from Star Wars Episode One. The Rouse certainly knew his picture was being made....therefore we can only conclude that the image of Watto is there by design. Is he telling us that he and WOTC care little for the beloved old Star Wars trilogy and instead love that which is new and different? Perhaps.

I think deciphering these clues requires deeper analysis than surface observations. In the film, Watto is unaffected by Jedi Mind Control. Perhaps The Rouse is telling us that he too is unaffected by influences of the mind and can stand on his own when it comes to developing 4E. Given his clearly individualistic taste in clothing, there may be more to this.

Any other theories or anything else we may have missed in the picture? What miniature is he holding?

Wow. Holy speculation Batman! Is it possible that he just happened to have a Watto hanging in his cube at work?

Well, he certainly didn't burgle it.

Certainly didn't hamburgle it...

Actually, combined with the beard, I'm sure this is a coded message to Al Queda.

4e is really just a terrorist instruction manual! When they talk about D&D4e destroying your sense of what is believable, they're talking about actually destroying some landmark or other!

EVERYBODY PANIC!

:p

Alternate Possibilities:
  • The Rouse was sent here from the future
  • Remember that sweater?it's in the picture somewhere!!!
  • Thetans.
  • There are at least a dozen ninjas in that picture right now, waiting to pounce.
  • Mind control.
  • Possibly other things. Probably not related to the hamburglar, I think.

well its a 2 digit number, and Judging by the internet image, it looks like a 20.

If you were holding a dice for a camera, and its a two digit number, what other number would you purposefully show?
