Ahh yes. Hollywood cant think of anything original, or rather is afraid to give new ideas a chance. So it seems we'll get a "reimagining" of a low quality 70s series..again.

I actually think Jim Carrey's talented-its just to bad he cant get (or pick) material that will let him strech himself more.

Ummmm....Man on the Moon, The Majestic, The Truman Show, Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind...Carey isn't quite the one dimensional hack folks like to portray him as.

BTW if Hollywood finds it necessary to revisit 70's TV shoes & movies, why must they insist on doing them as low brow comedies?!

Because that's how highly Studio Morons think of people.

Not that Starsky & Hutch was "high class entertainment" but I will not see that crappy movie by has-Ben Stiller, that just looked stupid as hell. If you're gonna make a movie *based specifically on* something else, at least friggan respect the original medium/material enough to stay in the true spirit of the show.

The Addams family did this (very well), Charlie's Angels TRIED (and failed, to over the top), SWAT certainly tried (just kinda dumb script)...But S&H and 6MDM...that just sucks.

Because that's all the suits understand (or think we understand). Take your pick.

Starman

Well believe ir or not but Lee Majors, the oringal Steve Austin has said on his homepage and in an interview when they first thouight of doing a movie, I think even the show was supose to be a comedy. And think Lee help create the character and the show and to me if says comdey would be cool or was the first premise is ok in my book.

man on the moon, I didn't like the actor why should I like a movie about the actor.
Majestic, truman show good drama acting in less time than Robin Williams

excuse me Charlie Angels, Six Million Dollar man and alot of 70's shows had low brow comedy moments and sometimes were low brow comedy.
