the Society of Pure Class Progressionists

BVB

First Post
For all the interest in prestige classes since the release of v.3, I've finally come to the conclusion that the True Prestige Class belongs to the character who is willing to focus his career development in a single class to the exclusion of all other distractions and temptations of special titles.

No fumbling among mixed-class prerequisites for me! It's one class all the way, baby!

Who among you will join the prestigious SPCP? And what be your single-class specialization?

Wizard or Druid. They both rock all the way up. Druids are amazingly flexible at higher levels.

Plus, there's the Dire Penguin wild shape...

Well, in Living Greyhawk I play a pure fighter. Pure classes are rather rare in that game from what I've seen.

I played a ranger up till level 9 when the campaign ended. I usually take a single class as my focus but sometimes like with my Bard I did take a few levels of a prestige class to show training in a non bard area.

I've played my wizard up to 12th level straight-up, no multi-classing, no PrC...but when she goes to 13th she's probably taking a level of Spell Chandler (Candle Caster).

There are two characters in our campaign (played by the player) who are straight-up fighters. But the higher level one is thinking of going for Dwarven Defender.

So I guess I remain unworthy to join the True Prestige Class...

Right now I'm playing a rogue who plans on staying being a rogue. For ever. Of course, my DM does this cool thing where if you do roleplaying stuff (like, say, dethrone a bandit king and lead his people briefly), then you get a free level in an appropriate prestige class. Of course, thats sort of like getting a free magic item, but... well.... i plan on staying pure rogue.
