"My hands may not be as quick and smooth as my tongue, but neither am I completely lacking in dextrous skills," Devlin replies. "I figure the transaction shouldn't take very long at all to complete, so we'll have time for a celebratory drink and some conversation. If the deal starts to go bad, well, that's why we have the weapon poison."

Devlin examines the ingested poisons back in the hotel room. What color/consistency/odor are they? I'm trying to get an idea of what kind of drink to have to mix them with to minimize detection.

Devlin examined the vials marked with the mouth symbol. Opening them, he detected no odor, but noted that the stuff was rather viscous and oily. He decided it would go best with food, or perhaps strong drink to cut the oil.

Devlin heads down to the dining room to check the menu, looking for a dish that would be suitable for the poison, preferably an appetizer-type dish with a sauce he can mix the poison into. If he finds one, he'll order two servings to take up to the room, along with a selection of drinks.

Devlin exchanged a few crowns for two servings of "Snapper Seagoville" and a selection of various potables. The manager insisted on having a maid deliver the food to the room, at no extra charge.

OoC: Sorry to make you guys wait over the weekend for this, but...you'll have to go to the RDI thread.

IC: Leaving the food covered to keep it warm, Devlin and Ryland made the short journey to the Red Dragon Inn. Ryland was suspicious that they were being followed, but try as he might he didn't see that they were being tailed.
