What the heck?! What on earth does this have to do with the topic at hand?

ok, forget the whole consept of planeshifting. This class possesses a power of a unique form of teleportation. It has it's own rules seperate from that of the general type.

also, with tactical shift the grappler must make a will save not reflex.

also, sun school abilities do not stack. The class name is teleporter. All "shifts" are now called teleports.

Sounds good. I like the change. Did you ditch the grid template?

OT: Kashell, try to keep in mind ENWorld isn't a chat room, and try to stay on-topic. I know you don't mean anything by that jab, but remember that sarcasm comes off as very nasty and insulting on message boards. You owe Frukathka an apology.

I just think the grid adds a lot to the complexity of the gameplay, and will slow the game down. I don't really have an alternative; I just think you should be thinking about it in the back of your mind.

understandable. I could see how time is of the essence for a fastpaced game play. But if you chose to take this class you might find other means of remembering the grid, suc as a plastic version you can overlay on the map when you need it. Or you could just wait to use the IQT.

No, I'm gonna keep the battle grid to determine the uncontroled teleports. If I make it too powerful, I'm gonna need to balance that out. Unless you have a suggestion.

If alacrity is relevant, you could do it with the roll of two dice: d8 for the direction he goes, d6 (or d8 or d10 or d12, depending on the range) for the number of squares in that direction he travels. No chart needed.

what do mean by range? Remember, when IQT is acquired location is no longer random but decided. I do like the d8 as use of direction though. Perhaps a d4 to determine the number of spaces traveled? (or a d2)
