The Tol Haggerun Prophecy 3.5 D&D - [Ended]

I have preliminarily accepted three characters into the game as starters (see above). For the rest of you who have received emails asking for more information, you are still in the running as a starter or an alternate. Basically, I have 3 more starter spots and both of the alternate spots open right now.

I wanted to you know that I appreciate everyone's interest in the game, and I hope we will have a lot of fun with this PBP campaign.

Those of you who have been accepted, please submit your characters to the Rogues Gallery thread by this weekend. I am going to try to get started next week, but this is going to depend on when everyone has posted their characters.

If you don't mind my asking Evil Ujio, since we're both playing good fighters, could you give me a few sentences describing your character and intended prestige class development if any? If both our characters happen to be working towards the same or similar goals, mayhaps it'd help explain why we're going to be joining together in an adventuring party. I assume Misha is female.

For my part, Jacoby is a low born peasant hero dedicated to following the path of the errant knight. I'm considering advancing into the Cavalier prestige class eventually.

If you'd prefer to email me, you can contact me privately at (denis dot m dot richard at gmail dot com)

Thanks. :)

Misha is male from what I gather from the submission.

Also, as a side note, don't get too heavily invested in how the characters get together quite yet. I have plans for that once all the characters have been approved and posted. Please feel free to discuss character development, etc.

Misha is not particularly tall; he stands at about 5’8” and has a lean build with wild unruly hair. He wears his hair in braids around his left ear, the braids end in scintillating beads of various colors that shine brightly in the light. On his back he has a dark tattoo of a rose with flames leaping from it, hence his nickname. His skin is dark, and his eyes are green. He stays in good shape, and is always working to better his physical fitness.

Misha thinks for a moment, "I am a simple man, does that describe myself? Well the truth of the matter is there is little that is simple about me; except that I am a warrior for all that is good in this world. I cannot suffer evil to live and prey upon the weak, just as much as I can’t watch a beautiful woman go unescorted without me at her side.”

Misha will be going the path of the Fist of Raziel and will be picking up some Cleric levels to qualify once he hits 4th level, and then he will go Fist of Raziel at 6th I believe or 7th. He is essentially a crusader against evil who carries a huge sword and likes to make evil problems disappear. He has his faults but e is a good man, loyal, and would sacrifice for those he would consider friends, which is just about everyone.

I noticed that you don't have halfling listed as a language; is the omission intentional? How many regional languages, if any, should my character know?

BTW, assuming that halfling don't generally consider themselves to be "half" of anything, what do they call themselves? Hobbits™? Something else?

I was going to post something about languages, and then I got busy at work. Here's the deal about languages:

All Humans automatically get the language associated with their region (or social status if applicable). They also get a number of bonus languages based on intelligence. These are selected from the list I posted above. Half-Elves and Half-Orcs get the same treatment.

Elves, Dwarves, and Gnomes get their racial language plus the human language of their region of origin. This is in addition to any bonus languages for intelligence.

Halflings (not sure what to call them - I'll let you know soon) automatically get the Trade language plus the human language of their region of origin. This is in addition to any bonus languages for intelligence.

Guys, make sure that you all have some common languages or this is going to get silly. The languages from Lurien and Mitea are good options, as is the Trade language.

Dark Lords of the Pants Dimension?

I'm kind of swamped AND I'm going out of town tomorrow morning. If I'm lucky I'll have my character up sometime tonight, otherwise I'm pretty much stuck with polishing him off Sunday night (no internet access in Nowhere,Alabama).

We aren't going to get started until every character is posted. If it takes until next week, that's OK with me. I still have to decide on a few more entries anyway.

One more reminder:

Each character has an heirloom item. This is a Masterwork item of some kind. It can be a weapon, armor, or other piece of equipment. If you want something nonstandard, please email me off board with any questions.
