The Treasure of the Tierra Padre... [Knight Otu Judging]

Rupert is found in his offices, as usual.

Rupert assures Oirhandir that setbacks happen, and the discovery of the Mill and the Old Road certainly confirms the validity of the map. He also charges Oirhandir and Rogier with finding suitable replacements for those who are wounded, poisoned and staying behind to recover. He offers, nay insists, that Katherine, Calamar and Eriun stay as gust in his manor until the treasure is recovered.

Finally, he informs them that somehow, the cat had been let out of the bag, so there's hardly a need for secrecy anymore. But now there is need of haste. Surely, others must be on their way to discover the treasure horde even now!

OOC: The others are now effectively removed from the game.

Fresh from their recruiting trip to the Red Dragon, Oirhandir and Rogier lead the small band of recruits through the streets to Rupert's. It's not a long walk, but it is apparent as the party proceeds that Rupert lives in a wealthy part of Orussus. The hour is late, but the band seems to have been expected, as they are ushered inside.

Iggy enters bright eyed, and very curious. How do people make a lot of money in this world? Iggy suspects this Rupert may be a wizard.

Gath enters Rupert's house, feeling a little bit out of place. The house is filled with a lot of precious items ... not exactly the best place to be when you're a big half-orc and 'smash' is the most used word in your vocabulary.

Gath doesn't have any questions for their patron. He'll leave that and the leadership of the group to others. He's just eager to do what he thinks he does best: smashing and protecting others.

Razir trails in behind the rest, trying to keep his eyes down and the hairs in his face and generally not draw too much attention to himself. Already the Half-Elf is moving like he's walking behind enemy lines.

"I sure hope this man not only refuses to visit the surrounding lands, but also avoids the meetings of the city council" he barely audibly whispers to himself.

But just aswell, your here for an honest mans work and no reason to be suspicious of you. Infact, for once you actually didn't do anything criminal he silently reminds himself.

With a strained smile coming to his lips, Razir looks up at his host aswell as the whole motley gathering of mercenaries, his arms crossed before his chest as he settles into a relaxed stance.

Ooc:

Sorry for being late, character is now officially approved. ;)

"I think that's the last of the new recruits." Rogier says as he enters Rupert's home and closes the door behind him. "If you wait here for Rupert to inform you on the details of the quest, I'll go and get him so we can finish this fast."

With that, Rogier goes to look for Rupert.

The doorman leads you into Rupert's office.

"Ah! There you are!" the ostentatious man greets you. "Let's get this over with quickly, so I can get back to my work, and you can get back yours, eh?'"

He passes out a shhet of parchment to each of the newcomers.

"These are your contracts and commisions outlining the nature of the expedition, the responsibilities of everyone involved and the means of payment. If you would be so kind as to sign your names at the bottom of the page, and provide either a small lock of hair or a few drops of blood."

The contracts state, in much more elaborate language, everything Oirhandir and Rogier have already mentioned about this secret treasure hunt... All treasure is to be returned to Rupert, and the adventurers will be reimbursed with a prize bounty for the items recovered.

"Once those are signed, you are free to head on your way. Your pack animals have been re-provisioned accordingly."

Nodding, Razir takes on of the contracts and skims it over without much interest.

Disturbingly, the security measures their employee demands of them make alot of sense, somehow, keeping a dragons treasure all to himself was never far from the rogues mind.

"Well.." the Half-Elf inquires with his low and raspy voice "how much are we to recieve for putting our lives on the line?"

Ooc:

I assume someone from the original crew has that treasure map and some info on the dragon, lair, whatever else is known about this?
