In the newest Dragon there is a PrC of Halfling monks that gain an ability to make a feint with the tumbling skill instead of bluff.

Pretty neat prc I think as well. I think teamed up with that Fighting style feat of giantkiller it would be neat to see a halfling running up ogres and giants and twisting their ankles, wrists, and generally using leverage to do some neat cinematic scenes.

Or with sufficient Belt-and-Tome Strength buffing, picking them up by one heel and slamming them from side to side Atom Ant style!

Not quite - Flick of the Wrist actually lets you catch your opponent flat-footed, even in the middle of combat. If they have Uncanny Dodge, for example, they retain their Dex bonus when flat-footed, so you can't Sneak Attack them.

It's quite different to the mechanics of a Feint.

Thanks for the clarification. I still like the feat for a melee-type rogue - quite handy for getting one solid hit on a bad guy.

Very nice to take down most guards or other low level stooges by walking up to them and delivering that nasty take-down- blow before an alarm can be raised (or even im some other cases - as in combination with "hamstring" prevent an ecape or cripple a knight+mount combo ). Used with much success by an Arcane Trickster (often in combination with 'disguise' or 'alter self' ) and several "alluring" rogues/assassins in campaigns I have known (them "knock-out" blondes tend to stick in my mind.).
Almost as good as a "Death attack" - especially when used with a subdual weapon for "good" heroes.
