"Pooh, promise me you won't forget about me, ever. Not even when I am a hundred."
Pooh thought for a little.
"How old shall I be then?"
"Ninety-nine."
Pooh nodded. "I promise," he said.

"Just because an animal is large, it doesn't mean he doesn't want kindness; however big Tigger seems to be, remember that he wants as much kindness as Roo."

When I was about 11, I was really into ventriloquism, so much so that my father actually took me to an annual convention of ventriloquists somewhere in Kentucky (Vent Haven Museum, I believe). My father called me to tell me that the ventriloquist we had met there had died. Actually, we had met Jimmy Nelson (of Danny O'Day and Farfel the Dog fame).

I was a weird kid. EDIT: But I have the world's coolest and most supportive father in the world. :)
