WOW :.-(

What an intense episode. I can't believe they killed off two characters like that - and, poor T-Dogg has to go out in the same episode where Lori both gives birth and dies. What an epic death for her, getting offed by her son.

Right up there with the best of the series.

It is typical of the treatment T-Dog got throughout the series that he doesn't even get his own sendoff, but gets overshadowed by Lori and the baby.

So, it was looking like the prisoners (one white, one black) were heading towards being a part of the group, despite Rick & Daryl's protests. Then T-Dog gets bitten. Then it becomes clear that both prisoners will be integrated into the team.

The Law of Conservation of Black Cast Members holds true.

Which is odd, because the comic/graphic novel has a pretty extensive black cast - while there was no T-Dogg, there was a guy named Tyreese and his teenage child, plus Michonne all at the same time... not to mention Morgan and Duane. I think the Governor in the comic was Hispanic as well.

I guess I wasn't that surprised, but I didn't feel it as particularly poignant. The characters feel kind of underwritten to me, and Micchone just goes around with this stare and almost 'the magical Negro' with a machete. The most interesting character right now is the Governor.

True - Michonne has been a disappointment so far. It's like they wanted to introduce her, but don't know what to do with her now that's she's there.
