D&D (2024) They butchered the warlock in the new packet

Easy.

Rite of Recharge: The warlock may undertake a five minute ritual that requires concentration to recharge their pact magic slots. Sometimes their patron talks to them during the ritual.
The warlock may use this a number of times per day equal to their proficiency bonus
So... you think that its balanced for a 5th warlock to be able to cast 8 fireballs per day? That seems a little excessive to me, and probably will result in asking "why would anyone play sorcerer when they could warlock it and get more high level spells?"

I can't even bring myself to be happy about warlock being a half caster (despite me asking for a PHB arcane half caster for 10 years). Because I can see from the overall community reaction to it that it's just going to go back to being a full caster (but spellcasting rather than pact magic because WotC doesn't want to program anything different for their VTT).

And once again, we'll be left with 4 arcane full casters and no arcane half caster in the PHB. Except this time around, the one I actually care about has had its identity turned into 'lolrandom'. So I won't be touching sorcerer again.

Considering the Sorcerer is the one that is born with their Magic, I feel like THAT’S the one that should be able to modulate from half-caster to full caster. Also, be CON caster to be the ultimate MC class because anybody can be a Sorcerer and decide how much to engage with their natural magic.

Why are you worried about lolrandom? You can just ignore those parts, they're not required and you'd be left with old sorcerer.

Except for Twin Spell. You want to complain about something with the sorcerer? Complain how they utterly ruined Twin Spell. Just look at it - instead of two spells on the same turn, its you recasting a previously cast spell on the next turn for using sorcery points equal to spell level.

Like, the whole benefit of Twin Spell was effectively having two Concentration spells up. Now its the "slight discount on creating a spell slot" metamagic.

Or complain about how the wizard effectively has metamagic baked into their new "spells" at 7 and 9 for creating magic? Costing what little made sorcerers unique.

it doesn’t need to be the same warlock to be compatible. A rogue or wizard are not warlocks either and no one said that makes them not compatible with 5e.

Compatibility is not about keeping the classes the same.
if I can;t walk into an adventure league game with my 5e warlock cause the new warlock trumps it I will be pissed

be careful the pinkertons have a bad reputation
