Quite honestly, a high CHA has nothing to do with talking a lot. And being able to talk a lot has nothing to do with how a god will treat you. In my book Charisma is about personal magnetism and how well the character can manipulate others to their way of thinking. Now that may be done by fast-talking or it could be done by debate or even by intimidating them with their presence. Point is a high CHA does not equate talking a lot.Howndawg said:I'll tackle the first one first. The cleric is based on religious faith. A big part of faith is understanding what your god wants. And this means paying attention to him. Thus a cleric needs to be in tune with his deity. A character with high CHA but low WIS probably does a lot more speaking than listening. Does a god want such a character being a representative of him? Probably not. Plus in just about every religion, who are the people who are most revered for their holiness? Those who are wise and listen to the divine.
