Mocks Hawklord for his lurking, then realises that he's a fellow Brit and welcomes him warmly to the thread.

Reiterates resignation from Gibberling project, promises legal action if anyone attempts to hold him to deadlines to projects he no longer is responsible for, secretly uses ENWorld contacts to start rival Gibberling project, only with extra flumphs.

Reiterates refusal to accept Tallarn's resignation from the Gibberling project, pointing out that as a Moderator General, he needs to follow up on obligations or else will create morale problems among the troops. States that a top British law firm has been hired on retainer, so not to make idle threats about legal action. Sends Private Message off to Randomling asking for the name of an English law firm to make own idle threat sound more realistic.

Returns to the original topic, once again heaping huge amounts of praise onto Baraendur for bringing it up in the first place. Decides to quote keynote speaker from last year's GenCon convention showing support of this rule. Realizes that SilverMoon has not attended GenCon since 1994, and has no idea who speaker was, so could easily be called out on that one. Quotes speaker at last year's International Pork Products Convention instead, assuming that no EN Worlders were there to question it.

States that the changes in 3.5E to the Ranger Rick's Nature Club prestige class make the character more balanced and far more playable, especially in an adventuring party that also includes a Gibberling Paladin and a Centaur Mystic Theurge.

Gives Hawklord a warm welcome to the boards. Explains that this is a fun place to be, although most threads don't have as serious a tone as this one.

Puts fingers in ears, sings 'La la la' loudly in order to be able to claim later that he didn't hear any of what Silver Moon was saying and thus he can't be held responsible for anything.

I am offended! I am clearly so offended the I am typing much to fast and not sepll checking at all. Baraendur has offendeded me, my family and in fact everything I hold dear, because while I am in fact a half-hunefer drow elven thin blade weapon master, I did it because my character's father, Steve the Hunafer, was killed by Larry the elven thin blade rogue/duelist/templar who kidnapped me from my drow/half dragon mother Tiamat. Clearly, it was only through long and painstaking "ROLEPLAYING" that my character has come to be, and how could YOU call my gaming group (and by extension anyone I have ever know [even my Mom, you monster]) powergaming cheese-monkeys when clearly we are the heart and soul of true ROLEPLAYING.

Furthermore, Errata is the child of the Devil himself, and it is bunk like that that has tricked America's young into believing that the moon landing was real. Because, as all right thinking people know, the text is canon, using house rules indicates defective thought processes and perhaps you should read the text before trying to use your merely mortal mental powers to 'correct' the true rules.

Why yes, we do have a Ninja of the Cresent Moon in the group, his character history is even more interesting than mine.

I quote my own post on page 2, both to show my genius and to reiterate how very anger I am. I then impotently threat to cancel my Enworld account, never read or post here again, and to be especially cruel to all Cat-kind from here on out.

Then 4 hours later I edit my post to correct a typo I noticed when I checked the thread to see how many people had responded to me.

States that it is unfortunate that Burne feels this way. Says that the original post had the desired effect upon SilverMoon, but that it created such inner turmoil that it was best to not repond. Goes into lengthy description of similar situation from own campaign, tossing in so many character and place names that anyone unfamiliar with SilverMoon's Story Hour will have no clue what is being talked about. Finishes by assigning Burne to write 5 to 8 pages for the Gibberling Paladin section regarding weapon use.

Clearly I get a circumstance bonus! Plus he can't hear anything! Fear my opportunistic wrath!

You must be held responsible for your behavior. By not decrying the aforementioned game mechanic you are clearly saying that you are in full support of WOTC on this matter. What's more it leads me to believe that the contrary positions taken by 3E & 3.5E and the soon to be announce WoTC2004E for home users are a direct result of your apathy!!! Woe to you and your offspring.

The chapter on playing Dr Who as a Gibberling is almost complete. I'll be sending it to Silvermoon shortly.

Comments on Star Trek was really a space western and a direct spin off of I Dream of Jeannie. Capt Kirk always proved that technology was only a tool, and that every problem could be solved by a punch in the nose. There isn't any alien civilization that can stand up to a good ole fashioned bar room brawl.

Don't be afraid to make a difference - stamp out slavery

In forumspace no-one can hear Tallarn 'La la la'.

Points out that despite the this heated debate, I'm in an unusually cheery mood because I just received a copy of Wrack & Ruin (Oathbound, Bastion Press), of which I am the primary author. Mention that this is the first black and white product from Bastion Press, but despite the lack of color, am pleased with the overall result. Go into a diatribe about how Oathbound is the best campaign setting ever and how everyone reading this should go out and buy a copy.

Gets back on topic by stating that Picard would clearly be able to out-play Kirk if they ever sat down and played their D&D characters against one-another. Of course we all know that Picard is an accomplished power gamer while Kirk just tries to be.

Whine a little bit that there hasn't yet been a D20 Dukes of Hazard/Knight Rider game.

End post with a note that I will be out of town for 4 days and likely will not be able to keep the debate going. Pleads with others to keep the debate going.

D20 Modern Dukes of Hazard......that would be just the thing for Polyhedron to do to stir up some good hate mail and cancelation threats, I'd buy it just of the Roscoe P. Coletrain statblock and the map of the Boar's Nest.

Notices that the Gibberling project is in shambles, secretly crosses fingers in hopes that I will not actually have to read up on Gibberlings or write a assigned section. State that I am right on schedule with my part.

Kirk is more of a LARPer, he would actully punch Pecard instead of rolling for it, then he would head off looking for a barfight and some green slavewomen, where Pecard would sit around pondering his options all night and drink some herbal tea.

Burne should learn to channel all that rage into something meaningful, like 3.5 edition gripes, or grid maps vs no grid maps, or Rangers sucking or even Dragon magazine bashing. There is a whole big world out there to get offended by why limit it to Baraendur and his zany rule interpretations. Of course this is all meant just to spur him to more angry post in this thread.

Wonders if the new Ford Ranger "Walker Texas Ranger" edition will have a 3.5 liter V6 option, it would be way to unbalanced with a 4 cilinder engine.
